I cannot think of any other show currently on air that has so many ITEM characters. Most characters in PR are so easily despicable.

Oh yeah, one thing that the CVs should be applauded for is how CRAP propagates through generations and each generation is more sacrificing, mahaan, and selfless than the previous one (Slapochana TO Archana TO Purvi).

And yes you're right. Arjun SHOULD have said no, so he's as guilty of giving in same as the rest as you put it. He SHOULD have tried his best to annull the marriage rather than play happy families with her.

Onir ruined his entire medical career for a girl. What did Arjun do? All Arjun HAD to do was refuse Purvi's part of the deal and PROVE his love for her and waiting for her, if need be then waiting for as long as she got back to reality, even if that meant never.

Instead what did he do? Agreed. What did he get? Another beautiful woman in his life.

What did Onir get? No future life prospects, a bleak future.

Onir had his life ruined just for Purvi or I should say BY Purvi and yet she didn't care for his innocence.

Arjun goes from dreaming about Purvi to dancing in the rain with Ovi. He's having some serious fun is all I can say.

And lastly, Pallavi, is that your name? 😊

Commitment to me means NEVER to leave each other WHATEVER happens. You are together forever, heart, soul, mind, body, bound together.

Purvi left Arjun first, and rather than choose to stay by her side, as her shadow, Arjun instead decided out of anger and spite, to leave Purvi.

LEAVING.

That's not commitment I'm afraid.

You can't just choose when to leave and when to return in a committed relationship.

Purvi should have thought

ok he is a bigamist but

a bigamist who commited a crime only for me

lost his medical license for me

lifted roadside crates for me

was pushed by crowds on roads for me

did not touch me ever sensing i was not ready and even when i offered myself to him

which bigamist would do that

bigamists r foxy men who sleep around with women with no conscience and ulterior motives

why did not i get any such reports from his friends in Kolkata , people there respected him so immensely

i must talk to him and if he insists he is married then i will go to Kolkata and talk to Shambhu kaka and his friends

But Purvi started a secret club with ex lover Arjun and agreed to hiring the private detective to peek and uncover Onir's secrets instead of confronting her husband

and left him like one leaves a squeezed mango in a trash can after eating it and deciding it cannot be eaten more as no juices r left .

I hope Shalini blasts Archana and Purvi very very badly publicly.

RD, thanks so much. I agree. In fact, even the upper middle class, which my family belongs to, is very conservative. My Mom, a career teacher, retiring recently could just turn away from the open adultery shown day in and day out in this serial. She stopped watching when Archana did the court case😊

My in-laws who actually lives in the villages, is also conservative - recently one of my niece was married off to her BF, as soon as MIL came to know they were 'dating' a couple of months. Indians are much more conservative about what ppl will say and perceive them to be. As you say, the parents get the most blame as it is assumed - they didn't teach the youngsters well...

So, sometimes when I see all these logic and arguments about "Modern' India, I am so confused, leaves me wondering if my perception is all wrong. Actually, even the so called West is very conservative in its outlook - such BIL/SIL isn't at all common even here...
