Hey ChemistryMajor
I completely agree with you. I have seen the worst traits in some of these tv series' lead characters. It's sad how people will go to lengths to find excuses for the Leads' actions while condemning the correct and justifiable actions made by other characters in the show.
I guess i really really disagree with your post but it's ok for people to have different opinions.
I think each character has both loved and hurt others and I am truly baffled why Arjun and Purvi are singled out as the offenders without redemption and the others are normal people who just made mistakes. I see tremendous growth in Purvi and Arjun. I see Purvi finally accepting being loved after feeling she was not worthy. That's a huge growth. She has always loved her family and truly does care how Ovi feels. Without jealousy. How is this a bad trait? I see the obvious maturity & growth in Ovi and wrote about her and the rest of them all on another post.I am impressed and admire each one of them for the changes they are making and admire how the CV's are winding up the story line.As to the characters, to me they are each guilty of the problems they caused and it's wrong to hold someone else accountable for one's mistakes. Onir for example is fully responsible for what he did. He betrayed his profession and betrayed Ovi and Manav and Archu and the rest all on his own. How can it possibly be said it was Purvi's fault. Then he betrayed Purvi and everyone all over again by his juvenile actions. Why is he good, and Purvi bad for doing similar things?I could make a list of each character and the good things and bad things about them. All are equal. If one is going to say Ovi acted like she did because she didn't have a mother's love growing up (which is true) why doesn't that same argument hold true for Arjun who also didn't have his mothers love and had to tough it out alone with little or no direction. In other words I find plausible explanation for each characters bad behavior and am impressed and proud of them when they change. Once a person realizes their mistakes and changes we should applaud them not condemn them for the past. Isn't that how we should treat one another in real life as well?

Thank you. I don't agree that all actions are justifiable though. They all made mistakes. Ovi and Onir have made their mistakes too. Ovi was wrong to propose the marriage deal and Onir was wrong to listen to dumb Purvi about switching babies.
But at least these two are doing something positive. They have learned. Ovi even more then Onir. She has matured so much. Meanwhile, Purvi is the same annoying "bhalayi ki devi" who thinks she is always right and everyone should follow what she decides for OTHERS' lives. What has she done to rectify her mistake? I don't even think she is sorry for switching Ovi's baby and not letting her mourn her dead child.

Woah! I never said the actions of Ovi and Onir were ALL correct and justifiable. I said it is sad how people will condem the actions of OTHER CHARACTERS (general statement) just to reason with the unreasonable actions of the main leads of tv series (another general statement).Hope that clears up any misunderstanding.
