"This place is gorgeous!" Purvi exclaimed when she saw a perfect view of the moonlight. "How'd you find out about it?"
"I know a guy - he was telling me about it and I instantly thought of you," Arjun admitted before turning on his side to face Purvi.
"Aren't you gonna look at the stars?" she asked, still lying on her back.
"Nah - you shine bright enough," he winked as he took hold of one of her hands.
Pink hues came up on to Purvi's face before she lightly pushed Arjun with her free hand. "Shut up!"
Arjun had taken Purvi to an open field - one where people would often come to watch stars. They were surrounded by many families and other couples just like them and it made Purvi feel so good inside to be surrounded by others.
"Look!" Purvi pointed. "I think that's the... Big Dipper!" she exclaimed while putting down her constellation guide.
"Where's the Canis Major?" Arjun asked, searching hard.
Arjun watched Purvi's finger point up at a sky that looked scattered with stars. "It's right there!"
"Right where?"
"Okay, do you see that star right there? It's above it!"
Arjun groaned. "I can't see it."
"Yeah, well maybe the stars don't like you."
"Apparently because of the stars, you're in my life. So, I'm pretty sure they like me."
Purvi turned away from the sky and looked at Arjun before she burst into a fit of giggles. "You're such a dork."
The next thing Arjun knew, a complete stranger had fallen right on top of him.
"Oh, I'm so sorry - I didn't mean to..." she began before Arjun interrupted.
"It's fine."
"Are you sure? I'm really sorry again."
Arjun looked over at Purvi who was glaring at the girl that was still on top of him. "Look, it's fine! Do you need help getting up?"
The girl nodded and put her hand out for Arjun to take and help her up. Arjun took her hand and stood up along with her before lying back down.
When the girl hadn't left after a few minutes, Purvi finally spoke, "Do you need something?"
"No, I was just wondering if he could come with me to one of the food stands? I'm new in town and..." she trailed off.
"HE can't, but I'd LOVE to help you out!" Purvi sarcastically gushed.
The stranger scoffed before walking away. "Never mind then."
Purvi watched her walk away before turning away from Arjun. Arjun, however, pulled her towards him and wrapped his hands around her waist.
"What happened?"
"That girl happened! Why'd you hold her hand?"
"I was just trying to get her to leave sooner."
"You could have just told her to leave!"
"Purvi - you know you wouldn't have done that if you were me."
Purvi wiggled in Arjun's hold and turned around to face him. "I don't like having any other girl so close to you like that,"
"I know, I learned that with the whole Ovi thing."
Purvi pouted. "She just didn't understand that you didn't love her!"
"Alright, alright. That isn't the point. The point is that I love YOU and only YOU, okay?" Arjun said in a soft, gentle voice.
Purvi nodded slowly while Arjun took her hands into his and kissed them.
