They are human beings too and have feelings.Illegitimate is a derogatory word to insult children because the family choose to be unorthodox.

In Kusum, Abhay has a daughter with a surrogate and that was Kali, his first legal daughter, as well as Kumud, the other legal daughter with his wife, Kusum. Both are legal as long as bio dad gives them his name.
