WHAT HAPPENS AFTER LOVE?

It's a love triangle, but with a twist! Yash Raj Films' latest offering is Shuddh Desi Romance -- an urban tale of love and attraction set not in a metropolis -- starring the dynamic Sushant Singh Rajput, vivacious Parineeti Chopra and a fresh face, Vaani Kapoor. The trailer has just arrived! Let's see what makes this movie unique.

Since the teasers of the movie are already out for eyegrabs, the audiences know about the three characters played by Sushant, Parineeti and Vaani. Now the trailer elaborates the comic plot.

Sushant Singh Rajput as Raghu is the usual small-town boy attracted to the two beautiful girls. In his introductory scene in the trailer, he confesses, "Friendship nai karni hai tumse, na bhai banna hai… jo hai saaf baat raha hun, attraction hai."

Like him, Parineeti Chopra as desi beauty Gayatri doesn't believe in love. For her love is khayali pulao. Sushant and Parineeti are comfortable in a live-in relationship, but is it just attraction or more than that? The trailer doesn't answer that, instead is laced with romantic moments between the two. However, the picture is incomplete. Sushant has another ladylove, played by the newcomer Vaani Kapoor.

Vaani as Tara is a sensuous lady, and Raghu is attracted to her as well. The two meet, date and even kiss. Now what? That's what Shuddh Desi Romance is all about! The confusion between love and attraction, and what comes after love forms the story of the film.

Directed by the Band Baaja Baaraat director Maneesh Sharma, Shuddh Desi Romance is said to be a candid look at the affairs of the heart in today's desi heartland. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor as a love guide to Sushant, also features in the trailer.

WATCH: 'Shuddh Desi Romance' trailer is a mash-up of rom-com situations!

New Delhi: The trailer of Yash Raj Films' 'Shuddh Desi Romance' is very lighthearted and has an edgy feel to it, given the fact that its characters don't blink an eyelid when talking about the otherwise taboo subjects like sexual attraction, virginity, kiss just to name a few.

The trailer introduces Raghu (Sushant Singh Rajput of 'Kai Po Che' fame), a womaniser, confessing his strong liking to his crush. Then after, we are introduced to Parineeti Chopra's character, a bathroom smoker Gayatri, who is blatantly open about her previous love affairs.

To make a love triangle, there is Tara (Vaani Kapoor), who comes across as a modern, free-thinking woman. And last but not the least, amidst the trio is Rishi Kapoor's Rajasthani character whose role is perhaps to be a friend, philosopher and an advisor to the protagonists.

From what we see, Raghu is shown two-timing the women. All in all, the trailer is a riot of hilarious situations. Needless to say, the trailer has upped our curiosity to watch the film once it releases in September this year.
