I live in US, but find watching this serial with a pre-teen son uncomfortable and whenever they show the premarital sex scene, the pari issue, I simply have him leave the room. This translated in an Indian context were many families are joint with Saaa and Saur watching this serial together - most older Men will simply walk away and tell younger to go study - I know that happens in reality - No, this game to changing hubby and BF is disgusting and absolutely not honorable...2 sisters with the same man, tooted as amar prem, my foot simply...besides, Ovi is considered a victim more than a vamp now - she has lost the most...I can't see this gaining any TRP - not with this current storyline...

Kalpai, I also live in the US and I also do not feel comfortable watching the show with my teen daughter. I understand it is a soap, but there should be some connection to morality. The other day I did a post saying that I am uncomfortable letting my daughter watch this show because I believe the concept of the serial was not a good reflection of our culture. I was surprised to see the replies as lot of people did not have a problem with the current concept. Living abroad we try to educate our children about our culture as much as possible and conecpts like the Pavitra Rishta current storyline does not help at all. I don't think even western cultures appreciate this kind of concept where a man fathers children from two sisters.

Serialcraze welcome to PRland 😃 Where everything Apavitra happens
Dont you know that we must keep the reel and real life seperate? 😲 Your teenager should watch and just know that what happens in Reel life does not happen in Real life...No one learns anything from Reel life no matter how immoral or wrong stuff is shown on TV.😕😳
I learned this from IF PR section...
So we all got with the programm 😉😆

Its is totally wrong to assume most viewers are grp 1 or 2 ...
There are people who watch for the storylines and not just for the romance..Romance & chemistry all is well and good but not the required main reason for many.
TM Nice post but you have excluded Ovi and her supporters just like the show has sidelined her IMHO..No offense meant..😳
Pari dear brilliant post abv..👏
CS, Kalapi excellent posts..
What do I read? Ovi forced herself on Arjun? When 😲
One thing Ovi is not cheezy or cheap..Her love for Arjun is true and honest..If she wanted sex so much she would have forced herself on him right after marriage..Their marriage had not consummated for a month and she was ready to leave the marriage. To say she forced herself on Arjun is false...

I left Ovi out on purpose. Because in my post I was talking about what Ekta might do. And I think Ekta does not know what to do with Ovi right now and that's why Ovi is now missing in the episodes. Actually I think Ekta and the CV's have no clue how to clean up the mess they have created.
Personally I think Ovi's character is more normal and connected to reality among the 3 Arjun-Ovi-Purvi. Ovi made only one mistake of making the deal to marry Arjun whereas the other two made countless mistakes. If it was my serial I would show that Ovi realized her mistake and moved on, became mature and found happiness far away from Arjun's life. Frankly Ovi deserves way better than Arjun.

Well, time and again in this forum member have jumped to justify Arvi in any and all possible manner. So, I am not surprised. Members have said again and again that they do not learn morality from telly shows, when statistics have shown otherwise. Not only that, the visual contain of a sexual scenes are always censored, right - if there wasn't any solid evidence of visual impact. But in thsi forum anything that will justify Arvi will be supported by you know who. So, no surprises and that goes for premarital sex happening in Indian in large numbers followed by unwedded pregnancies and young unmarried mom raising their kids openly - all in the name to support one couple - Arvi. Sadly, I have seen none in my familes when young boys and girls are going for co-ed. So, those types of thread are only end up bashing for it is percieved it is against the Golden couple. And members say and share wrong information too - just to justify some action of this Golden Couple. If you are from India - you know what really has changed - the mindset is still very different.
You talked about fandom in your opening post - I only see this crazy fandom here that is beyond logic. Also, most fans are actually pretty young - in HS spending time on the forum cooking and imagining all sorts of chemistry. It is all in their fertile imagination. And it is encouraged by IF, as it increases the footfall here. And the saddest part is - IF is doing a disservice to this young ppl who fantasizes instead of actually spending a more productive time - sad but true...

Lmaoo anti arvi only exist in this forum... people are so deluded they think just cos the trps are gone down its cos of arvi..foolish🤣 if onir really raised trp's then why is the trp so shit atm?😆 truth is ekta can't hold down a storyline which is needed to attract viewers, that's the reason trp's are low.

Anti arvi fans are condracting themselves by mixing opinions and facts together😆

I watch any drama for its strong storyline and not just for a particular couple. If the couple I like fits in with the developing story, then all the better for me and it would make me enjoy the drama even more. I don't agree with ruining the story by showing immoral things in order to reunite a certain couple when the show wants to focus on pavitra rishtas and touts about sanskaari upbringing. The majority of the forum doesn't represent what the majority of the public would want. I know many friends and relatives in India and even in Canada that are against ArVi reunion. Anyways, more than making fangroups happy EK should be aiming at a gripping, believable story line viewers can identify with. It will automatically attract the audience without having to show a wife leaving a husband who has sacrificed so much for her to return to her ex, and a man who is always running behind his ex instead of giving his marriage a chance.
