Yup, most viewers like positivity in shows and dont watch them for morality lessons. Then Ekta's shows would all be flops...😆 Because she showed this kind of stuff, 2 sisters in love with same man in many other shows, Kusum being an example. But still viewers waited patiently for things to resolve between the premis, amar or not. 😆

You sure right on this one, arvi story super flop. The CV's should not have separated them in the first instance.

Arman separation got higher TRP because at that time, the storyline was quite interesting not like it is now.

just yesterday I had discussion with someone about Indian wedding and simplicity...people around the world knows india by its wedding system and they respect Indian Traditional Arranged Marriage...
the show cannot portray India's identity if they show ArVi reunion...especially the relation now became jeeju-saali not just lovers...
and the way Purvi is taking cre of Pari, no mom in the world would love it...

Yes, the culture of India is much more than just love. Love doesn't more Indians, but commitment, duty, honor does. I do not see any one now romanticizing over Arjun Purvi now - it only brings disgust. If I am so disgusted who have lived outside Indian for so many years, how does the home audience feel - they are probably cursing PR for showing such utter nonsense on prime time when kids are relaxing and family is having dinner together. They will simply switch channel other than allow children to watch such crap or feel awkward in front of elders - I am so curious to see TRP of this week. I don't think it is going anywhere...

Indian TV viewers sit and watch Sheila, Munni, Fevicol item songs on TV.
Compared to that ArVi PMS and Ekta's shows are just nursery rhymes! 😆
Ive heard abt the amount of scandalous stuff shown even on Regional channels like Star Jalsha, Zee Bangla etc...there are EMAs galore, out of wedlock babies, mistresses, cheating husbands, etc.
People sit and watch such stuff and laugh at it but dont take it seriously. Its just entertainment to them just like gossiping.
Indians in India are not that puritanical anymore. Attitudes have changed. Then they would not accept movies like Vicky Donor, Dirty Picture etc. which have won National Awards. Its mostly Indians living abroad who are still stuck in a time warp, clinging to age old morality which has very little relativity to modern day India.

The other day, I was watching Yeh Jawani hai Deewani in a movie theatre in NJ, the hall was filled to the brim with Desi families including children from 3-4 yrs to 11-12 yrs old and also many seniors/parents visiting from India.
Some of the scenes and dialogs in the movie made me uncomfortable but these families seemed to be enjoying them, laughing. I even heard a kid laughing at an X-rated dialog. Indian families actually sit and watch movies at home like Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore, etc which have a lot of vulgar dialogs and item songs etc.

I think the Americans are more sensitive to this sort of thing, they see the ratings of the movie whether its PG, PG 13 or R and then decide whether to let the kids watch.

Gah, can we not label ArVi lovers as a specific races/origins ?
THAT has NOTHING to do with who is an ArVi Lover oh my goodness.

as for TRP - PR will dip until the track actually goes somewhere. Archana's rona dhona, Purvi's resistance, Onir's wierd mystery, Arjun's same old give me Ovi, Ovi's neglect, Manav's I hate Soham - all of this is purely lame.

It's the WHOLE show contributing to such low trps. Has trps increased drastically since Ankita returned ? No.

Anyways, if everyone's so keen on blaming ArVi flashback on trp - let me just say the two scenes were between 3-7 minutes, out of the 23 mins the show airs. You still have your Ovi dialogue, Archana slaps and rona dhona, and Onir tamasha claps.

im not blaming specific people of the show - it's legit everyone.

anyways, Qubool Hai and SSLK are shows where the leads are uniting. Until audience actually sees QUICK progression towards a reunion, the audience will of course switch to other channels. Just saying.

-DO NOT QUOTE ME- I DO NOT WISH TO HAVE A SO CALLED CONVERSATION ON THIS. IM JUST SAYING. THAT'S ALL . THANK YOU.

It is rare when I disagree with almost everyone on a thread 😆

We have had very successful plays, movies, tv shows on almost all types of stories - extra marital affairs, infidelity, divorce, love triumphing over everything, family issues trumping love, bad guy and good gal, the opposite..all sorts of successes and the same plot failing at other times. It is the treatment of the subject that works or fails. The story, plot, the logic, the direction, the acting ... All go to make something a hit.

The failure of PR right now is how this story is being treated..bringing ARVI together without a logical plot is going to fail as much as separating them via without the right motivations.. Having Archana come out of coma would work but this totally bizarre plot? 😆

I'm sure the audiences don't get how unfair and biased Archana is against Purvi. I mean, I know what Purvi did is not right and if Archana wants to slap Purvi once then she has to slap Ovi twice for creating all this chaos in the first place by "stealing" Purvi's Arjun!!!
The Cv's have to get ArVi reunited real quick if they want better Trp!!!!!!

i think

Indian viewers in their homeland cannot accept adultery and this concept of just not moving on as eternal love .

Onir being negative has tuned them off too . 2 reasons for low TRPs .
