I had posted this before in the thread, let me repeat it again.

As for jeeju saali the" Incest" word is a completely wrong term to use, as in many Indian families, if the wife dies an untimely death, the husband marries the younger sister. According to family logic, its thought that the maasi will take better care of the kids left behind by the mother, because maasi is next to mother. Maa Jaisi= Maasi.
Of course in many cases, maasi gives birth to her own kids and mistreats the dead sister's kids (happened in my own family) but usually the mother's maayka thinks that by marrying younger daughter to the jeeju they are guaranteeing the dead daughter's kids' future happiness.

Now my point is although in this case, wife is not dead but separated from husband but logically all those Indian marriages between jeeju with dead wife's sister are not considered illegal or incest. In fact in the old days it was the norn to do so.
So in this case, CVs are planning the marriage of ex-jeeju with ex-saali (adopted not blood-related as in actual real life cases) ...and these 2 are ex-lovers, have a history together. So it is right in a way that they should be together and the mistakes made in the past by Purvi, Arjun and Ovi should be rectified.
Archana and Manav as parents should make certain this time that things are set right in the youngsters' lives so they can move on instead of being stuck in unhappy marriages.

In 19th and early 20th century, Kuleen Brahmin bridegrooms were a rare commodity and in much demand, Brahmin families could not find Kuleen Brahmin husbands for their daughters (and usually they had many daughters waiting to get married) so a single Brahmin man would marry upto 20-30 girls, sometimes multiple sisters in one family too. Sisters as Co-Wives! That wasnt considered incest by Hindus. That is a historical fact!

Now if people say when the wife dies, the brother in law ceases to be jeeju and can become husband, that is factually wrong. Even after the sister dies, the relation still remains jeeju saali so how come Hindu families allow them to marry, in fact encourage them to marry? Because its not considered incest, theres no blood relation between that man and woman.
This practice has also been shown in many Indian movies (Baseraa, Hum aapke hain kaun, Nadiya ke paar) as well, and its found in Indian literature as well...its been going on for centuries in Indian families.

I know you didn't see incest in this topic and other person with kalapi person used it here I believe. I am just arguing from your viewpoint.

Now one can argue Arjun wasn't officially Ovi's jeeja at the time but by arvi making those physical relations I believe he became her jeeja. Just their love is enough for him to be her jeeja. As you said everyone accepted arovi & purvi broke that up. But similarly arvi was accepted and proved their love too only to be broken by Ovi. Everyone in this situation was wrong.

We all have our viewpoints but I was just using some of the logic used here to play devils advocate and questions Arovis relation.

We do not know if Ovi could have understood or not. So, for Ovi, why not give her the BOD - oh, I forgot, it is Ovi - so she can't be given any cookie points 😃
Btw, did Purvi understand the impact she was having on Ovi?? Did Arjun, who was Ovi's so called best friend - give her some support...why it is expected that Ovi should understand that Arvi love was the one and only true love...I never get that. Did the heaven part, and God voice announced to the world that Arjun's and Purvi love is the only true love??? Why can't it be assumed that Ovi's love was true too ?? Can't that be a possibility - oh, I forgot, Ovi can't have true love - she is rich and so much be spoilt, and must be devoid of any feeling - my bad 😃

And anyways, you are referring to just men with a mistress. This is a whole different issue with two sisters in love with same man

Dear that was a hypothetical situation...and that is why that marriage stamp is important, don't you think.
Now, let think of another hypothetical situation - if Arovi's baby survived - could you still claim Arjun and Purvi to unite?? My serious Q to you? Say, Arjun and Ovi did had a live baby, what then?? Just curious of you views, you do not have to answer me, if you don't want..
hahah..am glad, you considers Purvi and Ovi to be atleast sisters (even if step sisters)...so, Jeeju is gonna exchange one sister for another👏

Hun... Arjun told everyone and ovi he loved purvi. He left everything behind for purvi. I think it can be pretty much say that these two loved each other.

And why should ovi receiver any benefit of doubt when arvi are never given one? I mean I read people making fun of the way purvi cried today for archu. Every little thing purvi does is laughed at and people say they are annoyed at. Fair enough everyone can state their opinion but then why don't they give purvi BOD?

Anyway if u say ovi could have understand I say no she couldn't. She wanted to HAVE Arjun. This is based upon her reactions to the situation that I make this assumption. She proved she would do anything even sell her mother and buy Arjun.
