I'm pretty annoyed by everything happening in PR so far to be quite honest.
I get that Ovi just found out that her biological baby died and needs some time to get over it. I think it's reasonable. But her leaving the house because the baby she was doting over isn't hers doesn't make sense to me. So all that time she spent nursing Pari and loving her is void now because Pari wasn't born to her. That's such a ridiculous way of thinking. Ovi is Pari's real mom, not Purvi. Ovi stayed up taking care of Pari. Ovi played with her and Ovi did everything for her. Pari, since the day she was born, was truly Ovi's baby. And for her to leave that child because it's not her "biological" child is ridiculous.
And as for Purvi. I don't get why she's bashed so much. Like okay, she has misguided priorities and clearly doesn't think things through. But the whole baby incident, I don't mind. What people don't realize is, that she didn't just abandon her baby. She made sure her baby went to someone who would love the baby and who could take care of the baby. Yes, her lying to Ovi and Arjun was absolutely terrible and uncalled for. But she gave the baby away so it would have the love of a mother and father and presumedly have a good lifestyle. Before the whole baby swapping reveal, Ovi and Arjun were pretty great parents. I don't think Purvi giving her baby away was so bad, because essentially, she gave her baby away to be adopted by someone who would care for the baby, which is something young mothers do when the can't/ don't want to take care of the baby. To judge her for giving her baby away so it could be cared for by two loving parents, and receive the love of the entire family, is dumb in my opinion.
What that said, I definitely do think that the character of Purvi has some questionable aspects to it. She lies, "sacrifices," has a holier-than-thou attitude, etc. She is, by all means, not one of my favourite characters LOL. But honestly, I think that despite the fact that she's Pari's biological mom, she isn't Pari's mother. That title goes to Ovi. So if Ovi ends up leaving Pari, I'm going to be annoyed.
