Thanks hilly 😉 wheee whee and the weee :P
What a dumb episode yaar...No one got any slaps, no big lectures from Sulo, no slaps for Arjun and I wanted Manav to tell Purvi something...full phusss episode this was...Although you should be glad for what you get, so I am very happy with that tight jordaar dhai kilo haath ka slap to Purvi. The girl should have gotten much more of these in her childhood and she would have turned out different.
I liked Manav today who was the only and first one to comfort his child. No body else stepped forward. In a way, kind of disappointed with Savita. The wild fiery lady should have been the wild fiery grandma and comforted poti and slapped the loser Arjun. ( are we allowed to say loser?, it means someone who lost ) I guess she also knew taking pangas with Archu's favorite wasn't gonna help her case, so let Manav take the lead...All fiery women become Archu - Purvi jaap-ers. Look at Varsha, siding with Purvi and her " good intentions" without even knowing the girl. But because she is Archu's laadli, she is always given benefit of doubt of sanskaars. Total BS ( bull- shit )
Soham, for some reason, I understand his dilemna. He has never seen such a society, such a family and such complicated relationships in his life. he is going by his gut instinct and his whatever little experience of these people. So in his mind, he knows Purvi might have her good intentions because she has been the only one who he has an interpersonal relationship with until now, he could see Ovi;s pain so knows she has been wronged and he has never liked Arjun, so full blame goes on to him. THat is a different thing that Purvi has never stood up for Arjun in front of the world and let everyone know who betrayed whom. But Soham in my head, was justified for his confused feelings about this whole mess. Varsha is older and I thought she would understand better how pathetic it is to lose your child and I liked her statement that a mistake is a mistake no matter who makes it and for what...Only sensible statement.
Onir lecturing sulo was laughable. But, what I sincerely liked about him was he truly takes up for his wife. ( I will ignore that his wife is the mahaan BWS - black widow spider and only look at him as a husband right now). I love that about Onir, as henpecked as he seems, he stands strong for wifey dearest. He did not say a word at the party, which is good, because honestly it was not his place to, and he was guilty as charged himself. But I liked that he told Sulo. His speech was all wrong amd hogwash about purvi tyaagi, but just the fact that he made sure the Pope heard a word from him about his wife was signs of a good strong husband. Purvi should stick to him. He is the "man" in her life, while Arjun is no where close to being a strong husband/lover. But yes, Onir is also a fool to think what they did was right. I expected him to feel remorseful of what he has done to Ovi. When she spoek to him, I did not see an iota of guilt on his face. I felt like he thought how immature Ovi is , still not getting the idea of purvi's tyaag. BS. I do want him to pay for his mistakes and him going to jail or losing his medical license is fitting.
What I give to Purvi in all honesty is that she has tried to stay away from Arjun post running away. She avoids his eyes, she avoids talking to him as much, always make irritated faces when he is around. So to me, Purvi has given up on Arjun ( even though she controls him, she has no romantic aspirations with him anymore) So I feel like Purvi has never cheated on Onir as a wife. She met Arjun too cuz Punni called them there, but she has no inclination to romance Arjun. She puts Onir before Arjun and that is evident. Which is why, Arjun takes a more severe fall in my mind. His childhood clips with Ovi made me realize this guy is the worst ever, worse than Purvi in my eyes. He cheated his best friend, he cheated his wife and he even cheated his dead child by not sparing a thought for him/her. He cheated the man he called his mentor ( Manav). Arjun's love for Purvi is not strong, it is weak and has made a total loser out of him. Loving someone who is right for you brings out the best in you, but clearly this has brought out his worst. His ruthless businessman stance was better than this absolute spineless and heartless person he has become. RD also did not step up his skills in today's episode. He was not convincing in any emotion. Not guilt or remorse, not ashamed, not pained, not sad, nothing. It was just one stuck expressions with fake tears down his eyes that were also hard to believe and that was his shot for the entire episode ( My right to constructive criticism). RD is a good actor if he puts in his best, but I have no clue why he would not step it up on one of the most important episodes for his character.
Asha, also needs to kind of broaden her acting skills. I like Asha, but in the last two episodes and more before that, she has simply not risen to her potential. Her tears and sobs seem half-hearted attempts at sympathy, her face contorts in just one angle which is not pleasing to her face, her expressions are not diverse for different situations and different emotions. it is always a stuck damsel in distress face. She can do a good job, and she is getting the ample opportunities in the episodes to show various shades, but she falls flat sadly. ( My right to constructive criticism). I just hope both RD and Asha being good actors, start to do justice to their characters. If they do not like the track, they should quit or leave instead of giving such half hearted performances. Rithvik used to do a very convincing job of the ruthless Arjun Kirloskar, or the hopeless in love romantic or the spurned lover 2 days after the wedding. Since then he has gone kaput and simply floated through episodes. Asha had one of the best scenes after the wedding, alone in the balcony broken and shattered at her own helpless decision. She was good as her feisty employee self, her fight with Sachin and her helplessness of her aai;s marriage breaking. She was never good as a romantic girl and since the marriage, the mistakes her character has made have become such a usual thing, that she also sticks to one kind of pained damsel in distress expression. Although she shines through some episodes and takes her graph up, but RD sadly has not had even one episode in a long time where you can say that for him.
Onir, was silent, but I again did not see guilt on his face. I saw pained anger at everyone blaming Purvi, I saw his urge to speak up for her but having to remain silent, his anger at Manjusha. all of it came through. But when Ovi spoke to him, guilt was missing. Either the actor did not portray it or the character did not feel guilt genuinely as he believed disposing off a dead child was a social service intended by his mahaan wife and him for Ovi;s bhalai.
Shruti Kanwar, words do not express this girl from the last 3 episodes. Brilliant and outstanding performances. This girl is definitely Ekta's best find in a long time. She obviously still has a long road to go, maybe her tone when shouting sounds like a shriek and it becomes unpleasant. She yet needs to get to Ankita's level of shouting but yet sounding good. But she has defintely come a long way and outdone all on the young crop with her consistent performances. Anger, pain, helplessness and anguish all perfectly portrayed today. Anger at Arjun - Purvi was evident, pain for her dead child, helplessness with her state of marriage and anguish at what her life has been reduced to all was top notch. Hope this girl gets her due soon in the industry. Hope they give her a romantic side by having a new mard-male opposite her.
In the precap though, RD looks convincing in that glimpse while holding pari as a helpless and remorseful man who has nothing on him except his baby. I think he will shine tomorrow, let us wait and watch. I did not find Ovi's reaction to Pari very horrid as I beleive it is a gut wrenching experience what she is going through right now and I know that if I was her, I would never be able to love Pari. It is never the child's fault, but it is not Ovi's fault in feeling what she is. no one can imagine what that pain must be to see Pari ( illegitimate child) and imagine what her dead child looked like every minute, while reminders of your husband's past keep coming in front of your eyes. It is heartbreaking and soul shattering to go through this.
I think Ovi will run away fro her sanity and for not wanting to hate pari. I will not blame her. The article talks about Arjun-Purvi coming closer, can you beleive it? I think it will be Pari only, cuz Pari will be with Arjun and obviously he will ask Purvi to take care of her every now and then. So so wrong in my head, when you have just been so publicly humiliated and your pre-marital sex has become charcha, stay away is what you should do. There is Teju, Sulo, Savita who can take care of Pari. I don't understand. Anyway, I guess like Kalapi mentioned, the Cv's are going to give the ARVI-ans their little carrots now and then with Pari and ARVI scenes. But this is so beyond repair that they can never bring these two back legally on the show. They will always be tainted lovers and their scenes will be used as and whne they wanna please youngsters. Purvi will NOT leave Onir now, that he will serve jail time thanks to her. I just hope they show her repenting for his failed career and life. Arjun, will not be able to leave Ovi, once she has been shown to be wronged so bad by him and then her running away, they will never be able to show Arjun going back to Purvi after this incident. So I guess people can enjyo their carrots for a while. :P
I can't beleive no one raised a question about Purvi;s sanskaars. Wasn;;t that the main philosophy of sulo's? She actually said, agar tumne pehle bata diya hota ki tum pregnant ho, sab change ho sakta tha". But why did she not say, " kya Archu aur maine tumhein ye sanskaar diye the? Shaadi se pehle? che che che che chee".
Manju stole the show by taunting these 2 high on their horses ladies. She went overboard with her raste se uthaya hua. I do not like anyone who is adopted having to hear this in their lives, even if they turn criminals. The parents decided to take them in, and never again they should have to feel that they were abandoned by their bio parents. I did not think it was right at all for her to go so OTT about raste uthaya. But Manju has been the OTT types anyway. But yes, I loved her for taunting Sulo about Punni and Purvi. Loved it! Glad she gave them a earful.
All in all, not the most lived up to expectation episode. But let us see what happens next. PR is interesting and I hope the CV's keep this pace.
