It is like saying that instead of Archana, Shravani should have been the lead because Archana is so mahaan and an unrealistic character.

In this forum, every illogical argument or point of view is used to degrade ARVI.

Is this the first time these people are watching Ekta serials??

Common guys, where where you all (with your morality soapbox), when the other Ekta serials were on air????

the story was always about archana but she wasnt dislikable. archana has her charm- purvi has lost all of hers. archana has remained consistent. for whatever archana's folly she never did things that went against her moral code- she lived and breathed manav. she spent 18 years without her husband and children raising purvi but that never deterred her from manav. and vice versa with manav. archu pushed the boundaries of irritating mahanta but never breached the border. purvi did. after arvi reunion there isnt anything left in that story and i personally dont want to see continuous rain hut scenes. i want substance and story. just because there has been non in the past doesnt mean that indian tv should not evolve and remain regressive.

as far as illogical degradation of arvi goes- this is about ovi's story unfolding as one of the central plots. not about degrading arvi. after reunion there is no story there. but there is at least one loose end to this-ovi, if onir turns negative. she should get her ending as well. thats all. instead of continuos shirt da button scenes.

Ovi forced herself on Arjun and got married to him, knowing fully well that he was in love with Purvi. Same with Onir, he got married to Purvi, knowing fully well that she was pregnant with another man's child and said that he expected nothing in return.

Marriages are affairs of the heart - not affairs of sticking with the one person just because you forced someone to take wedding vows or in Onir's case accepted the wedding vows.

Marriages are not life sentences of unhappiness. They are meant to be a bond of happiness and love.

Ovi and Onir knew that they were signing a life of unhappiness and one sided love when they got married.

It was foolish on their part to expect happiness and love from a person that they knew fully well was committed to another. Where is their self-respect?????

Archana/Manav crossed their boundaries of morality and made their relationships with their own daughters (apavitra) when they accepted that Ovi and Arjun and to be married to one another even though they did not love one another.

In a marriage, you have to make sure that you uphold the very same values of 'pavitra rishta' in your children as you did with your own relationship. Manav/Archana failed as adults and as parents.

Now, the children should be allowed to make relationships right by themselves. The adults have put enough impurity in their relationships.
