I don't know about any of you, but I would gladly sacrifice my happiness for my mother's (not once but a million times) and my mother didn't adopt me and hence I don't need to worry about returning the favor. Just like parents who selflessly sacrifice anything and everything for their children, children who really love their parents will also do the same for them (with no strings attached). And to me what Purvi did and all the baggage she is carrying now as a result, was a selfless act, which she did for the sake of her mother's happiness. I know to some it means that she hurt Arjun and that makes Purvi selfish because she was only thinking about herself. But I am having a hard time seeing selfishness in that because she gave up her happiness for her mother's. However what Ovi did, no one seems to have a problem with that (and what she continues to do). Not only did she screw up her life, but she came in between Purvi and Arjun and ruined all three of their lives and want to be happy now. To me, if we are going to blame Purvi for Arjun's misery, then lets be fair and blame Ovi as well because she is equally (if not more) at fault. But can we stop blaming poor Purvi for what she did, why she did and now with whom she did it. All her life, Purvi always wanted to meet her sisters, but never in her wildest dreams did she think that one of them was going to turn out to be a psychopath who would want to steal all her happiness and become her own mother's worst enemy.

I apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings with my opinions, No hurt was intended towards anyone.

Thank you. I am glad that you guys were able to see it from the "nice" angle and not the "other" one.😊

Anyway, we keep going around the same circle, you and I with this matter so let us agree that we will never agree on this issue.
Purvi is no witch and this is not a witch hunt. In my eyes, Purvi has been victimized by Ovi and I eagerly await the day when Ovi comes by her just desserts and falls flat on her face.

Of course, with one small correction kools... The mismatch is due to THEIR decision making.

I am sorry. I disagree! I think she is obsessed with acting superior and in the process doesn't mind manipulating and hurting people

Correction accepted . But would like to add something to the correction

The decision making was initiated by HER .

Now if the argument follows that Arjun was no baby , nobody held a gun to his head , why listen to her...and this sort of proves that she is not at fault , merely human

then

Ovi is not at fault too , merely human for initiating that deal in which later all participated . THEY listened to it and accepted it by using their brains didn't they . What goes for the goose goes for the gander too.

As for her being the poor victim ...

I disagree . Girl who at 18 has the guts to threaten to sue a company if retrenched is capable fully of dealing with one girl with an unreasonable demand [from her pov] by saying a flat NO . Easier than the suing process .

My belief is that Ovi was crazy to have proposed such a deal but Purvi is crazier to accept it

You made it seem as though purvi was not hurt in the process. Can you imagine for one moment purvi's dilemma when she would have found out she was pregnant and had already given up Arjun -the love of her life to her selfish possessive sister OVI? Had she known she was pregnant before the wedding, maybe she would not have given up her happiness for her MOThER's
