Pavitra Rishta isn't promoting this lifestyle. This show is an exaggerated, hence drama, depiction of what reality is. It's becoming a societal norm to consummate, even have children, before marriage. Why do you think the divorce rate or cases of unhappy marriages are rising? Lack of trust that increasingly develops between couples in the modern age. What is more appaling is that people are trying to find VALUES in a SOAP OPERA? Have you ever seen a drama that's educational? If you have, it probably wasn't garnering high TRPs. CVs add unimaginable twists and turns, even into the depths in immorality, to capture viewers. For half an hour a day, we see what we can only find in bizarre fantasies. It's a real shame if people are using FICTION soaps to dictate the moral compass of these daily lives. It's only entertaining through the kaleidoscope of the TV screen, not living like this. I feel more sorry for the viewers who turn soaps into their lives than the CVs who whip up sadistic tracks.

your two statements contradict each other, in one you are saying it has become the new norm, and then you say its a bizarre fantasy... and you believe that fiction does not affect reality, when it is shown over and over again... there are countless studies that prove otherwise... especially affecting the life's of the not so modern and literate young adults..for whom the telly is the medium to... welcome to the world of modern age
