It was not just the Onir-sleeping-on-the-floor thing. That whole passage in today's episode was curiously ambiguous, with Onir asking whether the family should be told (about something) and Purvi nixing it. Initially I thought it was about the baby - for they talk so many times of their marriage, including today, that one cannot question that. I was quite confused to start with.
Finally, after listening to Purvi talk to herself about Onir still being angry with her and expressing her confidence that he will soon understand her and forgive her, plus that soft little scene with the sun in his face and the pillow, I concluded that he was miffed by what she had done and that was his way of showing it. And that his question about telling the family had also been about that.
I felt this especially because Purvi compares their relationship to that of her aai-baba (in effect, though she says she is not doing it), which to her is the ultimate in relationships, and that has to mean something! Then again Onir refers once more to his biwi and his bachcha. Plus, as you have pointed out so pertinently, he was sleeping in their bed in Kolkatta.
I know that a large chunk of this forum is breathlessly anticipating an Arjun-Purvi reunion complete with a baby, but somehow, I do not see Purvi giving up on her bond with Onir. Not after what she says about it today. I think he will offer to let her go when he learns about the love between her and Arjun (though what sense that would make given that Ovi is still there and her baby too, which Onir will definitely save, I do not know). But Purvi will still come back to him, citing the bond they share, and so it will be like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. That will go down much better with the Indian audience.
Let us see what actually happens.
