CVs should have shown her fleeing the city after the badnaami hit her . The chawl cats surface only to taunt Savita , miraculously they never surface to taunt Archana or Purvi . For instance , none of the chawl cats ever saw her talking to Arjun on the roads ...although Arjun literally pursued her everytime with his car . We saw this in every scene...but it miraculously never set tongues wagging though it is India we r seeing and though both had a history and although Archana has opted to live in the chawl .

Purvi has glorified the chote log like anything ...but they did not show the reactions of the chote log . Chote log don't just find khushiyaan in choti choti cheez but love to talk about juicy love stories too ...especially family incest .

I was very disappointed that this aspect of society was never shown .

Btw something real . Kolkata is even more gossipy than Mumbai . Have relatives there who stay there who have admitted to me that though the culture is superb , the gossip is teekha . At least in Mumbai it is toned down but not there at all . An unmarried girl with a baby bump will set tongues wagging furiously . It is not the town to escape to at all .

As well as very rigid about what is right and wrong...that is why I couldn't accept Chandramukhi dancing with Poro in her ancestral sasural - even in this age. The Kolkatans are very strong about family values (😉) and women folks are even stronger in the sense they hardly take things lying down (not that there isn't female abuse) but much less compared to other parts of India. So, Purvi and her leela will hardly be acceptable to a Kolkattan. Things of course happens, but more under rugs. It isn't even about being about being progressive (pretty progressive) if your check out the movies, but with strong famiy value. That is why Dr. Onir surprises me, if he shown a bong (since he is Dutt (gujju????), not a Dutta - which is a bong name). Why a young successful Doc become slave to his hormones simply beats me😕

What do they show ?

Purvi gets a lucrative doctor in such a sizzling city ...her past does not follow her and the baby bump creates no hurdles but invites chivalry .

For using and dumping a man she does not get the same karmic punishment ...being used and dumped by Dr Onir ...that too at the wedding altar after promises that he would make a life with her . She gets nothing for ill treating Arjun . The way she used him was horrible but she gets nothing , not even badnaami . She is shown leaving Mumbai as if she has done a big mahaan deed with all people telling her not to leave and her mother weeping instead of questioning her about some hometruths .

Yes, very true...What Mahaan act has she done. She is preggers by her jeeju, who she chose to give up on her own accord - what is MAhaan about it. She kept on leading Arjun on and controlling him telling thongs to do - How can she have so much control on young me, that they are nothing better than hormonal. I guess, she has learnt from the best..who is her Aai. Wish her aai instaed of crying and glorifying herself could teach the trick of her trade to all her other daughters - they surely need that trick more than her. She is a Pro at leading men - gets to lead 2 - what the...can any young woman have so much control...

She actually told Arjun serenely yesterday ' Maine tumko diya .'' Arjun just gaped like a wonderstruck boy who just had a lobotomy instead of taking solid offense . He did not say angrily that he was not a toy to be 'given' but his own person . He gaped and gaped and did everything short of placing his head on her feet .

Seriously and funny, these men are reduced to mud who have lost something called "self respect". He just parrots what she tells him...I need to learn her secret yaar😆, I seriously need some lessons from her...

I pity Dr Onir . I pitied Samir Rane . Infact i pity any man who decides to marry her and protect her coz she needs no protection but the man sure does .

I too pity Onir, actual I pity Kolkattan who will be shown coming in contact with her and be influenced by her😆😕
