Oh yeah...am Sure Ekta Mata is enjoying all the extra income that isn't used for Ankita's wardrobe...but still while Ekta Mata is having a heyday, shouldn't the Creative head check to see that the costumes that is financed by the actors themselves, matches their characters...because it is free, everything goes, I guess😉...wah wah..what a golden way to produce a serial in the Kaliyug yaar...

You actually happen to comment in many of those threads. Often you remark how much you dislike something or another about Ankita from a news segment or article. You also comment in this thread (or similar) about how much those other threads irritate you. Thus it is a valid assumption that you read and keep up with those news pieces. Also, your tone of voice and constant scathing remarks about her indicate your apparent knowledge on her activites.

You yourself make many assumptions about everyone and everything. Currently, you are trying to put up a front that you assumed the writers dictated the clothing, which I find incredulous because you seem to be a seasoned soap-watcher and would know that it is a different department altogether. So, do tell me, what happens when one assumes? In your case it would be that you are wrong when you assume.

I realize that if/when you reply, you will largely ignore most of my points. Instead you will write in a manner that will make you feel like you are correct. You will also make an attempt to be cheeky. Understandable. Enjoy the feeling, while it lasts. It must be great to feel correct on the internet. Accomplishment of the highest order.

in a tv show or a movie, characterization makes us fall in love or hate it, right, here the director doesnt seem to care. even the Program description and the show in thebeginning talked about two simpletons. and here 50yr old are so OTT. nothing against the actors but for heaven's sake, dont prove it to the audience that they dotn give a damn about the show. instead of any shred of story, why dont they let some runway walks take over the show.

A) My dear, it isn't my insinuation, rather my judgment of the character, she tries to portray and as an audience, I am within my rights to evaluate not only her acting, but the storyline and costumes for appropriateness. What will be the fate of an actor without an audience to appreciate his/her works.

b) The reason to change might simply be her exhaustion of sarees, but that isn't enough of a justification fo her character. If it was simply a choice in dressing, a lot of characters like Sulo/savita could probably switch over to Salwars...they are in sarees all these 3 yrs...why haven't they. If you look across the spectrum of serials, in most serials a 50 yr old wears sarees (except for Punjab based serials), why is that. The simple reason is that although salwars are worn by 55yr old women too in India, it isn't necessarily the 'normal' attire across the board. So, if a serial wants to serve viewers across the board, it has to follow the norm, that is acceptable by the highest percentage of viewers.

The audience, this serials serves are not necessarily the international crowd but rather the home audience mostly (since TRPs and wins too, are measured in terms of Rupees and advertisement serving again the Indian crowd), who decides the fate of all actor/actress. So, as I said before, what is an actor without an appreciative audience...so let see in term of Indian audience - what her new attire translates too...we have got some idea in the forum already, right, which isn't necessarily that encouraging, couldn't you say??

I would like to say something here.

I am not interested in any actor or actress but only in the character .

If the dresses don't go with the characterization I have a full right to give my opinion .

My opinion is mine ...it is given not to change the opinion of anyone nor to debate the validity of such an opinion as it is a sheer waste of time . If others like the dresses so be it , i respect it . But i don't . And i say it , thats it . So will others who find it odd and not keeping in with the characterization .

Regarding why i go about in a roundabout way and address the CVs , I truly believe that the creatives are the ones who make the ultimate decisions ...nothing happens without their approval and they are answerable to Ekta as this team makes her show . Hence my reference to them ...not because I am frightened or something 😆 to make direct comments . I also respect the IF code of conduct which says it is not okay to bash any actor or actress . It is okay however to give feedback about the show to the CVs .

I have said many many times that the actress is beautiful . I honestly don't know if these dresses personally belong to the actress etc ...I comment only on the character the actress plays . I feel these dresses do not suit the character and i directly say it . I don't see where my directness is compromised .

Nothing personal do I have against the actress . Believe it or leave it .😆

But

commenting on the fact that each thread is read by some members ...this 😕 me as i believe everyone does it after joining this forum and honestly it is the member's prerogative

that members insinuate

suggesting that members are clever enough not to take the actresses's name directly but address it purposefully to the CVs [ again i am 😕 why should some who wish to talk to the cvs and not criticize the actress do so to prove 'guts']

This spoils the discussion .

Absolutely, there are audience in this world who cares only for characterization and the storyline. It isn't about individual actors or actresses...actors only are there to fulfill their individual roles with apt and conviction...so anything that fails to support that, can be scrutinized and criticized..that is our individual rights as an audience of the show...there isn't anything it in about guts😆, I mean people do criticise about Bollywood stars too in public media😆, haven't heard that they were jailed for having an individual opinion about something...besides, who says that, only positive opinion matters...constructive criticism is the best way to improve anything and is actively seeked for betterment in all walks of life...

good point.

again just my opinion, but its extremely funny and idiotic watching a middle class woman , yes even with a millionaire husband, who doesnt care about materialistic things but love etc, is dressing up like that whereas the model(ovi) and moneyminded(punni) are roaming around like such simple girlies. COME ON NOW !!! 😆
