Purvi :- Shocked right, don't worry it will take time for you to process it. In the meantime I shall eat.

Purvi takes the kheer plate from Tej and starts eating.

Purvi :- Whoever said, the truth will set you free is a genius. I feel much better, for the first time in days I actually feel hungry.

Tej :- WHAT…What did you just say?

Purvi: - Vishnu, who kidnapped me is actually Soham. He is your brother who Varsha aunty kidnapped. She is here; the worst part is she is married to my father's brother Balan. Who is behind most of the kidnapping Soham dada has done so far.

Tej :- No, it can't be the truth.

Purvi :- It is.

Tej :- Aaji said he died. Varsha took him and they both drowned. They were never found.

Purvi: No, dead bodies were found right. So, they are very much alive.

Tej :- If it is true why didn't you tell baba and aai. You know how long they have been trying to find Varsha and Soham dada right. Why would you keep it a secret?

Purvi :- Because of my grandfather.

Tej remembers yesterday.

Tej :- What has he got to do with all of this?

Purvi :- He has got everything to do with it. He is dangerous; I read it in father's letter.

Tej :- Baba's letters?

Purvi :- No, my father's letters. Baba Harish.

Purvi heart is filled with pain, for the first time she has called her father baba but she knows he can never answer her. She puts her plate down. There are tears in her eyes. Tej sits beside Purvi.

Tej :- Are you ok?

Purvi :- Yes, it is nothing. Right now we have to worry about dada.

Tej :- Tell me everything.

Purvi tells Tej, how while waiting for Arjun she saw Soham and got a glimpse of Varsha, but she wasn't sure and then she saw Varsha's picture and Manav told her it is Archana's sister. So, when Soham saved her from the tugs Ovi sent, she started being close with him so that she can see Varsha again and that night when she did see Varsha again, she found out about Harish and Meera. She was too shocked; she didn't know what to do also Varsha warned her that grandpa is dangerous. Hence, she kept quiet and then Cheenu gave her the box and she realized that Varsha was right Grandpa is very bad.

Tej is quiet.

Tej :- So, why did you tell me?

Purvi :- I don't know, I couldn't take it anymore. I was overwhelmed and aai is not talking to me. I thought I was going to go mad. I had to tell someone.

Tej :- So, you decided to make me mad.

Purvi :- You are already mad. It was easy for me to choose you.

Tej :- You…

Purvi laughs…

Tej :- How do you do it? How do you smile and laugh at a time like this?

Purvi :- I guess I learned it from aai, you know to hide your pain. Aai has been doing it for years. I guess, I just learned from her.

Tej :- You two have been through a lot haven't you.

Purvi :- Yes, but not as bad as this.

After a few minutes….

Tej :- What do we do now?

Purvi :- We get prove that grandpa is the leader of the kidnapping group, that way the police can arrest him and Soham dada will be free from him.

Tej :- But he is your grandfather. Are you willing to send him to prison?

Purvi is quiet.

Tej :- You are doing all this for dada. You would choose him over your family?

Purvi :- No…

Tej looks at Purvi.

Purvi :- I choose aai, baba, Sachin dada, Soham dada, Ovi and you over them.

Tej :- Why?

Purvi :- This is the only family I know.

Tej :- Purvi…

Purvi :- Don't…I don't want to talk about it. Right now what I know is we have to bring dada back.

Both are thinking quietly. Tej is amazed, how Purvi is willing to do anything for her family and how she is hiding her pain. Even if Purvi doesn't say it, Tej knows that Purvi is doing all this only for Archana.

Tej :- So, we don't tell baba and aai anything yet.

Purvi :- No, they will get too emotional and if grandpa finds out the truth I don't know what he will do. We can take any risk, not yet.

Tej :- We need a plan.

Purvi :- Yes, we do.

Purvi gets a call.

Arjun :- Meri Jaan….How is my birthday girl doing?

Purvi :- Not so good.

Arjun :- I know, it is hard for you. There is so much going on. We should talk.

Purvi :- I would love that.

Arjun :- Tonight. Let's go for dinner.

Purvi :- Ok.

Arjun :- What would you like as a birthday gift?

Purvi :- You.

Arjun :- I will be there. I wish I could be there right now. If you want I can come now.

Purvi :- It's ok. Tej is with me.

Arjun :- Give the phone to Tej.

Arjun :- Take care of her.

Tej gives the phone to Purvi.

Purvi :- See you later.

Arjun :- Yes, I love you.

Tej and Purvi go to the D clan house.

Archana :- Where have you been? Tej, Can you help me cook?

Purvi :- Aai…don't do this. I am right here. I can cook.

Archana is looking at Purvi, she realizes Tej is staring at her.

Archana :- What?

Tej :- Aai…don't blame Purvi, she is just trying to help. You know why she helped dada because..

Purvi steps Tej's leg…

Tej :-Ouch…ouch…ouch…(Tej is holding her leg and jumping) that's is so paining…(she sits on the sofa)

Archana :- What happened? Are you ok?

Purvi is staring at Tej.

Tej :- Nothing…nothing at all…

Archana :- Then, why are you screaming?

Tej :- Cramp…my leg has cramped…

Archana :- How? You were fine a minute ago.

Tej :- How am I supposed to know…do I look like a doctor to you?

Archana :- What is wrong with you? Why are you talking rubbish? Everyone has gone mad, first Purvi, then Ovi now you. I had enough.

Archana goes to the kitchen.

Purvi :- You idoat.

Tej :- It just come out.

Purvi :- Next time make sure it doesn't come out or I will kick you even harder.

Purvi goes to the kitchen.

Purvi :- Aai…what are you cooking today? Can I help?

Archana is quiet.

Purvi :- Don't do this aai…please, I am begging you.

Archana gives Purvi some vegetables. Purvi happily cuts it.

Everything seems to be normal, when Purvi gets a call.

Soham :- Hei sister…how are you? Have you opened my present?

Purvi :- Dada…no, I haven't I will open soon.

Archana is staring at Purvi.

Soham :- Can you come for lunch? Please…

Purvi :- Ok…

Soham :- See you at 1.

Purvi :- I will be there.

Archana walks away. They are in the hall.

Purvi :- Aai..

Archana :- You are not going. That's all I know, you are not going.

Manav has just come back.

Manav :- Not going where?

Archana :- To see that brother and family of hers.

Tej is watching quietly.

Manav :- Your mother is right, you are not going there and starting today you are not talking to him anymore.

Tej :- Baba. That is not fair.

Manav and Archana are shocked.

Manav :- Not fair. You are joking right. Can't you see the pain your mother and I are in? How can you support her?

Tej :- Think about how Purvi feels baba. It is her family; she has every right to see them. If you were her, wouldn't you want to see your family?

Manav is quiet. Sachin has returned and is listening to the fight. Sachin thinks, another fight, what number is this? God, I think by the day's ends, I will go mad. I seriously should have gone for a drink. What was I thinking going for fresh air?

Tej :- Baba, let me ask you a question? Why can Sachin dada talk to Sharvani aunty and still be your son but Purvi can't talk to her family and still be your daughter. Why the double standard?

Archana is crying, Purvi goes to her.

Purvi :- Aai, don't cry.

Archana :- Tej, is right. That is your family. You can do whatever you want, who am I to stop you.

Purvi :- Aai…you are my mother. The only mother I know. You took care of me and brought me up; you have every right to tell me what to do and what not to do. You are my mother and this is my baba. This is the only family I know. I love you aai. I love you a lot.

Archana :- Do you really love me?

Purvi :- Of course aai.

Archana :- Then don't go see them and stop talking to that brother of yours.

Purvi is quiet.

Archana :- I know I am being selfish, and I should allow you to go but I can't Purvi. I can't see them becoming close to you and they are dangerous, I can feel it in my heart. I am worried Purvi. Please, don't go see them and tell them to go away. Tell them to go back to their village and we can be together again, just you and me. Like always. Will you do that for me?

Purvi is quiet.

Archana :- You can't can you.

Archana is looking at Purvi and Purvi is looking down.

Archana :- Do what you want? I won't stop you.

Archana goes to her room.

Manav :- Your mother is right, they are dangerous. I don't want you to spent time with them. I don't want you to go but I can't stop you. You have a right. Do what you think is right but think about us before doing it. I have already lost a son, I can't lose my daughter.

Manav goes to Archana and is consoling her in the room. Archana is crying in his lap.

Tej :- Now what?

Purvi :- I don't know.

Tej :- Who will you choose?

Purvi :- I don't know.

Tej :- What is the plan?

Purvi :- I don't know.

Tej :- What about dada?

Sachin :- Dada? Whose dada and what plan are you talking about?

Purvi and Tej are looking at Sachin.

Amazing job once again!! Loved it!! Loved how she acknowledged harish as her harish baba... that was so sweet and emotional.. She has accepted her baba in her heart. finally somebody finds out the truth yipeee...i love dhow purvi felt so comfortable and open to share her feelings with the one and only tej, it really shows how pure and sweet their bond is. i liked it how purvi and tej have the perfect sibling bond, they fight, they love, they care, they share things with each other, you described their relationship really beautifully.
