After watching today's episode, I have great hopes for a positive outcome for Archana & Manav. They have been granted ten more days to iron out their differences. That is ten more days for Sachin to realize he has been barking up the wrong tree, ten more days for Ovi to wake up to the fact that she really needs her mom, and ten more days for Tej to realize that she was not wrong in her initial judgement of "wus aural", that the woman in question is just as nice and loving as she, Tej believed her to be. That is ten more days for the ARMAN children to recover all that they have lost, the combined love of a happy family, the tender love of a mother along with the protective caring of a wonderful dad. That is ten more days for Damo to exit his self-imposed silence and expose his wife and reveal to his son the truth that has been buried deep for eighteen long years! That is ten more days for Savita to wake up from her stupor of hate for her daughter-in-law and realize that the yearning and need of her grandchildren for their mother's love and her son's longing for his loved one, far outweigh her own intense dislike for her daughter in law.
I understand nothing has happened in these last 6 months so what can be expected to happen in the next ten days? The tides are turning and with the approaching storm, the family has no choice but to present a united front if it is not to lose its mooring with the impending Soham disaster.
The positive signs I imagined I saw were 1) Manav acknowledging that he did not buy Archana's story of wanting to divorce him. His admittance that he would continue to love and respect her. 2) Sachin's expression and reluctant admiration for his mother after she had done reassuring him that she would be out of their lives solely for his sake. 3) Ovi's expression when she comes to Purvi in the pre-cap, it is neither glazed over with delusion nor angry, it is calm and bodes well for Archana and ARVI, I dare to presume and 4) last but not least, Savita's words sounded a ray of hope and not a death knell to the ARMAN relationship when she involunatrily admitted she had never wanted her son to go through a divorce (which mother in her right mind would?) but was doing what she was doing only to keep her family happy.
I believe it is Ovi or Tej or both together that filed the affidavit. Ovi has come to Purvi with a peace offering, the three girls together will stop their parents' divorce. The montage cannot be misleading, Ovi is dressed up in traditional clothes, Purvi and Arjun are in wedding attire, the hall is decked up and lighted; with Ovi there, Purvi just might get her wish of her baba doing the kanyadhan. Tall orders, high hopes, call me not a fool or a naive romantic, I really wish to see happy times on PR briefly at least before Varsha ushers in the typhoon.
