i didn't ask them to show how to feed the baby...they should atleast have shown soham needs mom's milk...so he cannot be given to varsha for weeks and months...first of all you have raised the topic 'mother's milk' and i am trying to explain you what age kids needs to be nursed...

if you are a man, do you wish to get slapped by your MIL and still help her family, if you are a woman do you want to help your maika and let your husband get slapped and insulted by your maika...

Next, It's to obviously clear to anyone watching that Archana's character is portrayed as a bad mother who selectively shows her love. Only to Soham and her golden Purvi has she ever shown any nurturing, caring, love. Her own biological children, she swept to the side in the past and is still doing so to this day. I have no doubt that when she discovers the truth about Soham, she will hate him because she will not be able to get past that he kidnapped her golden child, Purvi. Even though it is all down to her that he turned into a kidnapper! If she had shown a mother's love and nurturing and caring and not given him to Varsha at every instance he would not be in the pitiable position he is in today.

She also always sweeps Manav to the side, and puts people like Ajit, Jaywant, Chawl people, Dharmesh, and basically anyone and everyone who opposes Manav. She always tends to support the bad guys first without giving Manav the benefit of the doubt. She never trusts Manav, makes him jump thru hoops all the time to prove his love to her. But to outsiders, she will immediately trust them for their word, their actions, support them, etc. Then when she finds out that Manav is innocent all along, she starts crying her crocodile tears and please for forgiveness. This is her pattern, and our dumb Manav bechara always falls for it and takes her back. He was even going to take this woman back after Soham's "death", but thank goodness Savita intervened and took Manav away to Canada. At least the poor fellow got 18 years reprieve from this walking disaster called Archana!!!!

I would also like to add that the statement made by quoted poster that mother's milk is needed for 1 year is not a universal truth! I have 2 kids so I should know!

Some kids breast feed for 3 months, some for 6 months, some for 1 yr, some for 2 yrs. Depends on many factors but sometimes kids wean onto solids as early as 3 months when they like the taste of cereals, baby foods or other foods. That is convenient for mothers too as they can then travel or work without having to breast feed all the time!

As for leaving Soham with Varsha, I know of a couple (my hubby's cousins) who leave their daughter with the mom's sister who is childless, they meet their own kid every weekend... as this couple work the whole week in a different city, they leave her with the sister who can look after her better. The child is being brought up by her mausi but also lives with her parents on weekends. I dont see any problems with that child.

How would Archu know that Varsha would kidnap Soham? Shes not a mind reader!

Savita is intended to be the vamp of this show from the beginning by CVs.

Its no use trying to whitewash a supremely evil character like her! Worst of all is she doesnt even care for Manav or really love her son, shes just using him to gain money and status!

I personally know a saas like her who lives with her son and DIL...she puts down her bahu at every chance she gets and rules over her son and the household like a dictator! The couple didnt even have a 2nd child because the mom said NO...u cant have another kid because my nikammi bahu cant take care of even the first one properly!

This reminds me of a funny skit the PR team did at a Star Awards function 2 yrs ago...Manav and Archana are trying to consummate their marriage on stage when Savita comes and breaks them up...she wont let them make love...🤢😆

That is exactly what Savita has achieved over the last 18 yrs!

Archana doesn't need to be a mind reader. If you saw all the episodes you would know that Varsha had once before kidnapped Soham and kept him in a rented apartment across from her own apartment for a whole day. The whole family was frantic searching for Soham and she just kept quiet and didn't tell anyone that she had taken him and hidden him in this apartment. She left Soham there by himself and would go check on him from time to time. When they finally found out by following her that she had taken Soham and kept him locked up in this apartment, they confronted her and she went psycho and threatened to kill herself, etc. Manav was going to hand Varsha over to the police but Satish and Archana begged him not to. Even then Archana begged Manav to forgive Varsha to give her another chance. After this, Manav made it very clear to his wife that Varsha was to come no where near Soham, but of course she did not listen and let Varsha have Soham at the party and the rest of the story you know how it goes...Varsha took off with Soham again never to be seen for 18 years!

So basically, Archana did know how crazy her sister was and she still gave Soham to her.

i don't know what is your friend's condition but I left my job twice because of pregnancy and my attachment with kid because of reflex issues, i had confidence on myself i can go back to work which i proved as i am back to work now, few of my frineds sent their kids to India and they were in USA didn't get chance to see kid everyweek also...and even your friends case is understandable she is getting the kid back on the weekend and she knows what the kid wants/needs...but in archu case it was completely different she didn't know how to make sohum not to cry...a 2 year old can express so much, soham was understanding varsha as mom that noone should encourage and everyone around soham/varsha didn't tell varsha or soham the relation is different ...even me as a viewer never thought soham is archu's kid till they shown it, i always thought varsha adopted a kid...
giving your sister for caretaking is different, what issues archu had to take care of soham, was she working, savita was good to her at that time and as you know how damo is towards archana can't he take care of archana's kid if she has some household chores, and manav was earning enough, couldn't she afford a nanny like sundari
the mistake archu did is giving the kid to varsha even after knowing she is psycho...and not keeping eye on her...
archu used to do household stuff before wedding at K's home, so many people including kids homeworks...and after marraige, archu had time to sue DK constructions and she had time to solve so many people issues, but she couldn't handle 2 kids and then 4 kids...and manav is such a good dad in spending time with kids...

it is just show thats why nothing matters...but in real life you can loose anything but the time can never come back...the kid's every first activity is very precious, first time baby smiles and that smile is for the mom, the first time baby holds rattle, first time baby recognizes you and gets the stranger anxiety and just wants to stay with you, first time nods the head, first time roll over, first time crawl, first talk, first walk, first time feeding solid, first time you sit with baby to put diya to god, everyday baby makes you understand what baby wants, and that hug to the baby makes you relaxed from all tensions, first feel of the baby when you make her lick orange...the way your baby sees you as the important person in whole world ...you can never get these back if you loose these moments...
may be i am too traditional or emotional, but making distance from your own kid because of stupid reason cannot digest for me...
