Firstly, Sorry I'm late to the party. Got tied up at work.
Secondly, I would like to thank all you wonderfully passionate people for participating in this forum. Today I've witnessed bleeding hearts, utter disappointment, unforgivable betrayal but, most importantly, some little rays of hope.
After watching today's episode, my instinctual thought was 'sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.' You might be thinking that I have given up on ARVI and that I have picked out a wedding gift for JUNOV but it's actually quite the contrary. A couple things stood out for me today...

Purvi - We've seen the hurt and despair from this girl. The disappointment has been laid at her feet time and again by the one who has relentlessly pursued, captured and currently holds her heart. Yet, try as she may she cannot bring herself to hate him so much as to cut him out of her life.
Some may call this weakness or lack of self respect but I actually see it the other way around. You may peg me crazy or delusional but I see strength in her pain and love in her sacrifice.
I use that term 'sacrifice' loosely too. I'm not saying that she's willingly given up on her love but it seems as though she's resigned herself to her fate. She's accepted that things are not going to change due to Arjun's lack of action and that her love may have been lost.
Acceptance is enough for now. I don't believe that Purvi is Archana Y2K although she may have some of her traits - after all her aai is her role model. She is a level headed girl who is capable of choosing the right direction even if she is using her own moral compass. She doesn't hate Arjun and on some level she understands what he's up against. Is he right? No.
Wouldn't she have protected her aai at all costs too? If I'm being honest, I would have to say yes. Does that mean what he did to her was acceptable? Not at all. No communication equals disaster. She will use her wits to teach him a lesson that he cannot take advantage of her feelings but she ultimately will not hate him.
Also, this by no means ushers in forgiveness quite just yet. His callous actions time again pierced her soul and no amount of forgiveness can ever erase the scar tissue that has marred a once pure heart.
So, how does she move past the pain? The deception? How does she trust him after this? Will she ever truly give him her heart again? Should she?
Arjun - You have certainly made a mess of things, haven't you? You got caught between your pehla pyaar and your best friend who is in love with you. You should have prayed at the mandir when Purvi asked you - you needed it!
You know Purvi, her strength, her confidence in herself and her integrity. You've been watching her from day one cataloguing her qualities and sizing her up for your castle in the sky before even realizing what you were doing.
You lost your heart to her. For you, nothing had ever felt so real or so right. The first breath you drew as a man in love filled your soul with a soothing relief you had never known. You came alive that day with the knowledge that SHE captured your soul and you couldn't be happier or more afraid of that fact.
You tried to leave but you couldn't because deep within you knew that your home is Purvi - will always be Purvi. She found you and confessed her love with quiet conviction. No sweeter words had ever been spoken to you. You were over the moon and delirious with happiness. So was she.
Now all those precious moments are all lost in the tides. You've waded so far into this mess that even you can't save yourself from drowning. We know you have a very soft heart for Ovi because of her upbringing and because of her unwavering love for you. You also know her to be fragile and emotionally delicate which is why you have been handling her with kid gloves.
In your haste to get to the finish line of love, you stumbled over the first hurdle and lost pace. The first hurdle - being engaged. In an effort to preserve your Dad's reputation you sacrificed your love and right before her eyes too.
You tried to right yourself by convincing Purvi that you will confess to Ovi and kept going but when you got to the second hurdle, you slipped and fell off track again. The second hurdle - not telling Ovi at the celebration after finding out she gave up her career for your love and is now being sued; that too right before Purvi's eyes.
You must enjoy that Sword of Damocles swaying precariously over your head because you want to please everybody and that will never be possible. You love your best friend, we know that. We know you care very deeply for her but indulging her in this engagement was one of the biggest injustices you could have done to Ovi, Purvi and yourself.
You've deliberately hurt Purvi to save Ovi because in your opinion Purvi is the stronger of the two and more sensible. You know when it comes down to brass tacks Purvi has the resilience to bounce back. You've seen her do it after Vinay. Ovi has never suffered heart break like this and because she's been so sheltered all her life you feel it's your duty to let her down gently.

So when I remarked 'sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together' I was referring to the current situation. ARVI coming together was a good thing. In the show, God guided them to each other, made it so that they couldn't forget each other and now their faith is being tested - faith in each other. This show is about rishtas ' all kinds of rishtas. Husband-Wife, Parent-Child, Sibling-Sibling, Friend-Friend, Lover-Lover and all to each other. Very tangled. They had to part for the rest of the rishtas to come together. Their love is pure. Right now, that love may be tainted with sadness, mistrust and doubts but once that gets addressed hopefully it can be restored to its former glory (not so much for me but hopeful for the rest of you). So when ARVI is reunited (fingers crossed) we can then see how great it can really be.
Laurie to Purvi - "My dear, it's ok to cry. Let yourself grieve for the love you may have lost, for the faded watercolor memories and for the life that you were able to taste for but a moment. In the words of one of my favorite poets, Rabindranath Tagore, 'If you cry because the sun has gone out of your life; your tears will prevent you from seeing the stars.' Be brave and stand up for yourself. Be strong in your faith and self belief. You are a beautiful, intelligent, confident, young woman who can conquer the world if you want to. All you have to do is take the first step. Remember Purvi, 'This too shall pass.'"
Laurie to Arjun - "There is no easy answer to all of this. You want to be the superlative best friend but at what cost? You stood there and literally watched the world dim in Purvi's eyes and did not lift a finger to stop it - not once mind you but twice (so far). You've built up her hopes only to have them dashed again because of your unfortunate Fate. Please don't do this to her anymore. I know you love her and you can't bear to see her pain - neither can we! If you feel that Ovi needs your attention then by all means, take door number 2 but don't drag Purvi along to watch. Rabindranath Tagore said, "Love does not claim possession, but it gives freedom". Free her Arjun, and free yourself from ruining her life. If what you both have is truly meant to be you will find a way back to each other. Trust in her love even if she can't trust in yours"
