Dear Laurie,

What can I say but thanks, and thanks again. I needed that after sitting up to 1 am last night performing the obsequies for the original Arjun Kirloskar.

I liked your Romil to the rescue too, though I really did not get most of it after you abandoned the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. I think I am of too old a vintage for Gen Y jokes! This apart,
Romil looks too much like a greasy hairdresser to have an even halfway romantic image pasted on to him.

Shyamala.

I had to share this embarrassing story with you all today and I speak from under Harry Potter's Cloak of Invisibility 😆 so I know you don't know how red my face is 😳

Wacky Wednesday - Laurie Style

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times and then there were days like THIS! Why does this happen to me? 😆

Today's episode really did a number on me and I hadn't even watched it yet! I had just gotten home from work and was reading the updates on the forum -trying to prepare myself to watch the show tonight.

Oye hoye, I honestly didn't realize I was so worked up about this show until my nosy padosi came over to 'check up on me'. She asked me if everything was going alright in my relationship with a strange look on her face. 😕

This struck me as odd because this lady hardly ever talks to me 😆 She loves to gossip with all the other ladies on the block so I knew I had to be careful with what I said.

She said that earlier she saw me in my backyard and heard me saying, "Why are you doing this Arjun? Why? You broke my heart" ' She then goes, "So.. who is Arjun? You don't have anybody with that name living at your house!" 😲

Well, let me tell you ' I about died!! 🤣 She said it with such a straight face too and I couldn't help myself I busted out laughing. 🤣

I mean I laughed until I cried all the while she was staring at me like I was some kind of lunatic. 🤣

My stomach hurt so bad I could hardly talk 🤣 but when I calmed down enough I explained to her that I was catching up on a soap opera on my computer and I was upset with one of the characters.

I had to diffuse the situation quickly because who know what would have been circulated later today. 🤪

She looked at me kinda weird then we made some small talk about work and my yard and then she left all busy. 🤣

This show is going to be the end of me' truly. 😆

Pavitra Rishta ' mera pehla soap opera; mera last soap opera 🤪

P.S. I'm sitting out in my backyard again and she just passed by. I almost choked on my tea 🤣

@Laurie.. honestly I didnt know that Onkia Maharaj is her real name..Regarding that song, yeah the Lyrics is real bad for that kid;s age. But the way she danced and sang, it was hillarious..

Hi Shyamala, I actually wrote that balcony scene with you in mind 😉 I hope it didn't butcher them too much for you as I tried to encompass all genres in the forum.
As for my encounters, such is my life. A daily soap opera I tell you 😆

I came across an America Poet by the name of Ralph Waldo Emerson a while ago and was infinitely moved by one of his most famous quotes.

"To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."

At that impressionable moment in my life, this became my personal motto and now I try to live it everyday in some form or fashion. I hope I have succeeded. 😊

Yes, I did spell it incorrectly though. Its Maraj not Maharaj so my apologies for that. 😊

Acutally Onika Maraj, I spelt incorrectly at first. 😊

Thank you for your kind words. ☺️

I see laughter as a daily vitamin. You must have it each day in order to be healthy.

So if I can provide a daily dose to perk you up then my mission has been accomplished. 😃
