When he's touching her she goes all quiet and gets these softer expressions on her face. He takes advantage of every opportunity she let's him get close... and truthfully the boy can't help himself ๐Ÿ˜†
I think this party is not about Arjun revealing anything but rather setting up some major players to find out. I believe that someone from both the dark forces and ARVI's angels will find out (maybe one before the other) and we will see plotting while Arjun is still struggling to revel his secret to Ovi.
Who knows? Maybe Ovi might actually open her eyes and figure it out for herself ๐Ÿ˜†

Laurie, love how you've named the two groups, ARVI's angels and the dark forces๐Ÿ˜† -- for the sentence in bold to happen, Purvi needs to be there at the party, and I think Tej might just pull her along. I also have a feeling, Manav will announce the wedding date at the party and Archana will be exulting in joy and Purvi will as a result, ask Arjun not to say anything.
2nd option: He might not be able to tell Ovi anything. Purvi will not go to the party, and will hear of the marriage date announcement from Archana when she comes back home. So that'll be it for her. She will bang the door on Arjun's face for quite some time to come.

Shyamala, even I was amazed when Purvi kept spurring him on to tell Ovi. I mentioned in other threads how this is quite confusing considering she seemed to be wanting to sacrifice for her Aai and Ovi's happiness. I wonder where all that went? Probably the CVs realized no one wanted a repeat of Archana's sacrifice for Shravani and so they decided not to let Purvi sacrifice. But Purvi's character was always shown as very protective of her mother. Why isn't she thinking now how Arjun's truth will affect Archana? I know Archana will support ARVI but at the moment, Purvi's slight turnaround is puzzling to say the least.

Laurie - ๐Ÿ˜† Great post . Purvi's kryptonite is Arjun's touch. She really melted today from her stern expression earlier but then quickly composed herself.

I hope Arjun tells Ovi in private at the party. It would be really tactless of him to say it in front of everyone. But if Arjun doesn't get the chance (as it seems that the universe is plotting to not let him speak the truth), then I hope someone reveals it or Ovi gets suspicious of them.

I feel that maybe Arjun will break off the engagement but not reveal Purvi's name and that way we have more drama when the truth comes out. Perhaps, Archana will know the reason somehow but not anyone else at the moment๐Ÿ˜•

It would also be very unfair to Ovi to do it at such a public event. Moreover, he must be demented to think of doing it with Purvi present as well, not to speak of all the Ks and Ds, plus the office staff. What a treat it would be for the last lot, in case he does manage it against all odds! Why did he not take her out to lunch at a quiet restaurant and tell her there? It would have been much easier for him to contain her stormy reaction. At a party it would be impossible. Probably she wanted the whole day to get ready for the party, as she tells Manav, thus ruling out a lunchtime confession!

If the last, why the change of heart from the engagement scene? If Arjun is ready to publicly disclose today, why was he not ready the other day? Has he had time to reflect on how wrong he was the other day? or has separation made his heart grow fonder of Purvi?

Exactly! WHY a party? Why? Did he not choose to remain silent for the very reason that it is going to embarrass his father and ovi? And that is why he went ahead with engagement? Why make a public spectacle NOW? I think he took the decision in the spur of the moment.
Today he told purvi he couldn't wait till his dad comes back and will tell ovi that very night in the party. He wasn't thinking straight and made an instant and, perhaps, hasty decision.(If it was stretched so long, it can wait till next day/till the party is over?!) In his mind he wants to reveal truth the first possible instance he meets Ovi which is in the party.

It is interesting that none of the posts on this so far have touched on the one curious and very significant point in today's Arjun-Purvi scene - not something that happened but something that did NOT happen. Rather like Sherlock Holmes' cryptic comment in Silver Blaze about the dog that did nothing in the night time.

@Bold: Elementary, Watson! ๐Ÿ˜† And our dear Balaji films never bother with things like that. Coherence, flow, consistency of thoughts and actions are unheard of in this land.
You know, seeing Holmes in an ekta show thread is probably the biggest oxymoron that exists on Earth.Imagine Holmes on a quest in Ekta land mystery ๐Ÿคฃ
๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ That would SUFFOCATE him to death.๐Ÿ˜† Ah sorry, I digress.

Coming to the original discussion,That was what surprised me the most too. Purvi's "Ye pyaar nahi hai..." I thought was part of her strategy to 'distance' Arjun from herself. But what came next was a total Googly. What does Purvi want? Does she realise what is going to happen if Arjun reveals the truth? The impact that is going to have on their mutual relations with others? That's going to be a sucker punch to her beloved aai. I can only see one explanation to her confidence and that is not a pleasant one - She is quite sure her man ain't gonna walk his talk.Arjun better do SOMETHING!

Shyamala, first things first, yes, I absolutley love Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie :)
That said, I think all of us have collectively deduced the outcome at the party correctly. Arjun will once again be unable to tell Ovi, Manav will announce the wedding date, Archana wants the wedding before her divorce date and Manav in his present generous frame of mind will grant her that wish. Arjun will be bamboozled into not revealing the truth and Purvi will doubt him all the more. This will lead to more defectors from the Arjun camp to Purvi's side ๐Ÿ˜‰ while we patiently wait for the plot to unravel however the CVs see fit.
Laurie, lol, yes Arjun does seem to have that effect on Purvi.
I for one am resigned to wait for these two to go through all the CV chakkars before re-uniting. ๐Ÿ˜”

Actually between what we saw in today's episode and what we saw in the precap of tomorrow, the day hasn't ended.

So, before Purvi goes home and Teju asks her to come for the party, the office scene (of SBB) might come in? (unless of course, if it is not a dream of either Arjun or Purvi).

So, today the CVs changed Purvi's character! I wonder how they cope-up with these last minute changes compared to a week-prior preparation! Must say, Hats Off to them! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Go-do-whatever-you-want-I-don't-give-a-damn! Actually this characterization of Purvi goes with her spit-fire original self. Now, I wonder how they are going to take it from here since too many things are at stake.

I for one, am curious to see how easy or hard they are going to make it for themselves weaving this track.

@Shyamala,
I also noticed that scene where they didn't emphasis more. On 2nd thoughts, I feel probably they did it so because they wanted to show it from Purvi's POV. Actually it did register in her head by the way she looks at him, but she did not wanted to show to him that "oh! so you did tell your dad about our relationship then". Her stand, seemed like - "okay you told, so what? you are not doing any favor on me by telling your dad about our relationship". Hence her nonchalant behavior?

Bee, agree with what you have written especially the part in red. This is in keeping with Purvi's character more than the secret tears she had been shedding.
In my earlier post, I had mentioned that Purvi's seeming disinterest in Arjun's promises and her not forbidding him to reveal the truth to Ovi bespoke of a red flag at the bull, "go do it, let me see" kind of attitude.
Let us see if Arjun will live up to this challenge.

Re-watched the scene and noticed Arjun says the relationship between them is at an end but asks that Purvi at least respect the feelings they have for each other. If he plans to set it right, why is he acknowledging their relationship is at an end? I do gather he means because he is engaged, they cannot have a relationship, so if he full well understands this, why is he not making haste to break the engagement?
When Arjun promises to tell Ovi, Purvi says she cannot believe him anymore, that is an open challenge to him, if he does not rise to it, the more fool he. ๐Ÿ˜”
