I fail to understand why Arjun insists on telling Purvi in advance that he will reveal all to Ovi. Seeing his track record in this matter, one would have expected him to be cautious. The only charitable explanation one can give is that he wanted to convince her right there of his bonafides, and could not wait.
He did finally get around to telling her that DK would speak to Manav stating implicitly that he had talked to his father after all), but that was done in such an off hand manner, with no special emphasis, that it might have not registered with her at all.
Purvi will of course attend the party, and will be in the front row to see Arjun failing to tell Ovi this time too - the CVs will hardly let go another such golden opportunity for promoting further misunderstandings and deepening distrust between the two. If there is another fiasco this time, poor Arjun will find the going very very hard indeed.
In any case a party is the last place Arjun should choose for such a declaration, after which all hell is almost certain to break loose. It would also be very unfair to Ovi to do it at such a public event. Moreover, he must be demented to think of doing it with Purvi present as well, not to speak of all the Ks and Ds, plus the office staff. What a treat it would be for the last lot, in case he does manage it against all odds! Why did he not take her out to lunch at a quiet restaurant and tell her there? It would have been much easier for him to contain her stormy reaction. At a party it would be impossible. Probably she wanted the whole day to get ready for the party, as she tells Manav, thus ruling out a lunchtime confession!
It is interesting that none of the posts on this so far have touched on the one curious and very significant point in today's Arjun-Purvi scene - not something that happened but something that did NOT happen. Rather like Sherlock Holmes' cryptic comment in Silver Blaze about the dog that did nothing in the night time.
Purvi said and did nothing to stop Arjun from confessing the truth to Purvi. In fact when she says that what he feels for her is not love, the only reason she gives is that he did not tell Ovi. And when she marches off after stating that he could do what he liked but she was not coming to the party, she seemed in effect to be encouraging or egging him on to do it.
This was so astonishing that my jaw dropped. It effectively stood our iron clad belief - that she would insist on preventing any such revelation by Arjun as part of her Great Renunciation - on its head. All that she seems to want now is for Arjun to prove his bonafides by clearing up the matter with Ovi, and presumably revealing also that it is she who is his true love. This means that she has moved away from her initial sotto voce statement that one daughter cannot secure her happiness at the cost of the other's.
Again, in the precap for tomorrow, when she is talking to Teju and trying to get out of going to the party, what stood out was that the lost, vacant and extremely depressed look on Purvi's face, that had been a staple feature ever since the engagement party, had vanished. She looked quite her normal self. This too is significant, as it can only be due to the reassurance she has gained from what Arjun told her.
All this is well and good, but I cannot bring myself to believe that tomorrow the CVs are actually going to let Arjun get though to Ovi after all . It seems too good to be true, and in any case, there will be a lot of avoidable embarrassment for Manav if Arjun does manage to speak his mind. But then PR loves such public blow ups!

After seeing the promo, even I, a die-hard Purvi fan, was a little disturbed by her facial expressions, sternness and reactions to Arjun's promise to confess all to Ovi (in the promo).
But today's episode rested my fears 😊 Purvi did show some softening both in her expressions and in linking her hand with his, however reluctantly. Good job, CVs in directing the scene. She clenched her hands but relaxed enough, if for an instant, to clasp his hand. She is right, he has not told Ovi, yet, for all his good intentions (Arjun lives on good intentions, the good guy that he is😆), and he is still sporting that dratted ring on his finger. 😡Let us see if the guy musters enough courage, ahem, the opportunity, to tell all to Ovi.Aside: Rithvik the actor was amazing as always - loved his misty eyed look when he told Purvi he couldn't live without her. His expressions when the rest of the staff streamed in after Purvi, bespoke his frustration at her (rightly so) pig-headedness. Excellent actors both of them.👏
