I am not a regular viewer of this show but have watched it on and off. Some of you guys write beautifully and your thoughts, comments and expressions are awesome. I have yet to watch today's show but after reading some of the forum topics I was so tempted to pen down my thoughts and provide my two cents….

Show itself – I still can't understand why this show is called "pavitra rishta" – Doesn't pavitra mean "pure" and here we are….witnessing a rishta that's based on manipulations, lies, conspiracies, and a useless plot that doesn't justify the title. Sometimes I wonder why in the world do we even watch this show and get so worked up over these baseless and spineless characters. I guess it's a love-hate relationship between the show and the viewers J.

CVs/Ekta – What have you been smokin lately, can I have some please? If you are running short of script writers and ideas, there are a lot of them in this forum that can be leveraged. Please feel free to do so….viewers will get much better content that's entertaining and not idiotic and senseless. If you have nothing better to convey please wrap up the show on a high note.

Archana – The worst character I have witnessed in real/reel life. Learn to live with some dignity. You have to earn respect; you don't get it on a silver platter. Instead of hanging out at home (God knows what she actually does at work), begging and shedding tears go and take on a real job. If you didn't feel the need to keep in touch with your kids and husband in the last 18 yrs why now? Even couples that get divorce fight hard for the custody and that shows how much they love the kids (that Manav told you not to get in touch is just a lame "excuse").

Arjun – You have conveyed your feelings to Puri and your dad….move on with your life personally and professionally. If you don't luv Ovi, break off the engagement but please DON'T beg in front of Purvi always. You don't have to stoop to that level. Talking to her and making her understand is like talking to a wall. There is a saying – if you love something/someone let it go free, if it comes back to you it's yours forever, if it doesn't it was never yours to begin with.

Purvi – Learn to be respectful to others even if you hate him/her. You don't have to yell and scream to get your point across (people are not dumb and deaf). Consider yourself lucky that a guy like Arjun loved you, and still does. If you want to be the sacrificial queen, be it but don't send wrong messages – if you don't have anything to do with Arjun now, don't sit and shed tears just like your mom. Go get another job (out of mind, out of sight), just b/c you didn't have to work hard to find "true love", you might not ever learn to value it.

Manav – Stop being a mama's boy. You have a big heart but somewhere along the way, you lost the charisma and charm that you used to have earlier, instead we see a Manav that's a puppet in everyone else' hand (mom and kids). Your brain is rusty b/c it has not been used for a long time now…it's about time you get off your butt and take a look around of what's going on. Learn to make some hard decisions in life instead of being a cry-baby always.

Thanks for reading :-)!

I totally agree with you. This serial should not be called Pavitra rishta any more. It felt like hat when before this stupid separation, Aaan's bond used to be so strong that nothing could break it. Now it looks like the rishta of Vonod and Manjusha and Vaishali and Dharmesh are more pavitra as they have withstood every possible storm. These people need to pull themselves together, come to their senses and stop being manipulated and cheated by so many people. It makes you wonder whether they are good human beings or not intelligent.

I meant Armaan's bond, not Aaan's bond.

WOnderful topic with your 2 cents...I agree with everything and abt everyone but Manav...
He ain't momma's boy...He has stood up with spine against his momma and taken wife's side..
Its Archana can't let go her momma's boosom-pallu. Can't be independent off Karanjkars..Can't be a married woman..Once people get married they try having their independent life but here in Pavitra Rishta everything is Apavitra IMHO..
Agree with you abt Purvi but whatever she said today to Arjun was truth..Ovi's love VS his love for her. Her pain was more abt what this whole thing has affected her family...Ovi-Purvi, Arman and rest..

Dear newbie20000,

One of the most sensible, crisp and comprehensive posts on PR, especially in the light of the latest developments. I could not have put it better myself than your paras on Arjun and Purvi. It is far, far more than 2 cents worth!

In the first, I particularly liked the following, and the saying you have cited is pure, distilled wisdom.

ARJUN: If you don't luv Ovi, break off the engagement but please DON'T beg in front of Purvi always. You don't have to stoop to that level. Talking to her and making her understand is like talking to a wall. There is a saying ' if you love something/someone let it go free, if it comes back to you it's yours forever, if it doesn't it was never yours to begin with.

In the second, you too have made a point I have repeatedly emphasised, that Purvi got Arjun and his love on a plate, without having had to lift a finger for it, and so she does not value it as she should.

Purvi
' Learn to be respectful to others even if you hate him/her. You don't have to yell and scream to get your point across (people are not dumb and deaf). Consider yourself lucky that a guy like Arjun loved you, and still does. If you want to be the sacrificial queen, be it but don't send wrong messages ' if you don't have anything to do with Arjun now, don't sit and shed tears just like your mom. Go get another job (out of mind, out of sight), just b/c you didn't have to work hard to find "true love", you might not ever learn to value it.

Congratulations, and do keep writing.

Hey friend newbie...really fantastic analysis...really there is no strength in this show...most of them are unrealistic characterization...especially Archana character i hate that...same emotions and over reaction (Acting wise she is soo good)for small and big situation...when i saw her over reactions really i am getting mad and irritation...

When i have seen this show first time 4 months ago they showed Arjun's character very powerful...now his character downgraded to zero...i don't think so any person can fall like this...i haven't seen even small smile in his face last week episodes...

Love means understanding in any situation there is no understanding between any of the two characters...

OMG Purvi...she was not ready to listen any thing from Arjun ...she would like to sacrifice her love and turned as Matha Maha Tyagi she can...but she have to listen at least Arjun's version...she said Arjun was cheated both of girls...if Arjun is a cheater for her then she was allowing him to marry her sister Ovi...

Some of friends were said in forum find new hero for Pruvi as well as Ovi...best is find a new girl for Arjun who really deserve for him... not these silly girls...

In this entire Apavitra Rishta only Pavitra rishta is Arjun and Ashana's relation...

DK...again silly thing no father will behave and left his only son like that ...He know his son is in difficult situation still he gone for Australia. He shouldn't do that at any circumstances either it was 10cr business or 100cr business deal...

If CV's\Fektha see your analysis i think they will feel shame for what they are showing...

Loved your straightforward analysis. Could not be crisper or terser. We love some of these characters in PR for their innate dignity and decency. Why the writers want them to suffer (and therefore We in their equation!) is beyond me. To shake off addiction is not easy. So the Rishta goes on.
