Points to ponder...

These are wild ramblings of an ARVI fan.

1) Two wrongs do not make a right. DK was wrong in surprising Arjun with the engagement but Arjun was equally wrong in trying to surprise his dad about Purvi at the party. 'Shubashyam sheegrm' anything good should not be procrastinated and in not telling his dad right away, Arjun made a mistake.

2) DK says making mistakes are okay so long as they are rectified. Is this foretelling? Is he going to set right the mistake he made with his son's life?

3) Sulo is suspect in my eyes, not sure why, I have this sneaking suspicion she will turn against Purvi.

4)If Manav's "magnanimous" "if you deserve it, you cannot be denied" line to Purvi (duh, look who is talking) is to be believed, he will be on Purvi's side. He is more of a Majnu than Arjun at this point and can understand all about spurned love!

5)Archana's "good things are going to happen because of the unseasonal rains" portend that the confession between Arjun and Purvi will result in a happy fruition of their love.

6) Ovi is manic enough in her love for Arjun to believe that she is the best thing that could happen to Arjun.

7) Arjun upto now has been portrayed as the strong, fearless, cold-headed business man yet in the SBS segment looked helpless and forlorn like a lost soul. I guess those who are generous could attribute that to the fact he was being coerced and crowded upon by the great Manav uncle, eager to help Tej, over enthused DK and ecstatic Ovi. I guess his tender age of 20 (is it?) came in to play as he stared off into space.

8) Purvi did not look sad and resigned as she would be expected to if she were the one who had suggested that Arjun go ahead with the ring ceremony. She actually looked pretty miffed. Good for her! Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned and Arjun is going to be led a merry dance, the merrier, the happier my wicked soul.😃

The die-hard romantics may not forgive Arjun for the blasphemy of putting the ring on the finger of a girl he does not love in the very presence of the girl he has sworn undying love for - more mettle was expected of him. Pooh to the theories of he should not be dragging Purvi's name down the drain. He will sully it all the more now, first the MMS, then an engagement to her sister, then breaking off the engagement to Ovi to return to Purvi. The last is definitely on the cards, this is a wild goose chase we are on, thanks to the CVs. Two girls, heartbroken, one with the stigma of a broken engagement (it would have been better if he had simply declined to put the ring on by saying he had second thoughts about it), and the other girl with her mohalwalla reputation torn to shreds as the home wrecker, engagement breaker!

PS: Have been mulling over Purvi's words at the airport as she leaned against that pillar all anguished and miserable that she had lost the love of her life. Yet her words were strangely jarring to me, she called it "pehla pyaar, pehla feelings". Who in the world in the throes of love thinks of whether it is a first love or a second love or gives it a number qualifier? Isn't the love of the moment supposed to be "the" love of your lifetime? Put down this foolish thought to the die-hard romantic attribute. 😉

I am a PR fan but I am also in the first bracket. I agree, really hate how Ekta and her people make marriages/engagements appear trivial. Plain disgusting!! The mere idea he accepted the ring and placed one on her hands, that's it. I never forgave Manav for doing same.

Totally agree with you .. You have said it all. And Arjun will have to redeem himself big time for this blunder.
Sorry to say, but I will not forgive Arjun untill he breaks his engagement to Ovi and wins back Purvi's love.

If Arjun does not break the engagement immediately, it is hard for him to be redeemed. I mean come on, this guy a few days before did the craziest stuff to get this girl's love confession. Now he will accept a ring from another girl.

Ahhh lots to ponder on cuz in a K-soap, the complications just keep getting worse and worse...lol...spotless track record Kekta has there.


Waise toh I can't predict much but I think it's mainly going to be only Archana supporting first Purvi and then the AP relationship overall...Sulo might turn against Purvi as you said due to love for her blood-related real grand-daughter Ovi...the more bechari they can make Purvi in all this, the more it brings in sympathy from the audience.

Archana will support Purvi against all odds...that much I feel confident about...if the fiasco over P's engagement and the MMS were any indication, she will always be there for Purvi first and foremost...Manav toh I don't have any real expectations from since he himself doesn't know what he thinks about Archana...baaki usko kya samajh mein aayega...confused soul.


Now coming to the two ppl at the center of the storm...lol...Arjun and Purvi...the SBS segment was very brief and there isn't much that can be gleaned out of it other than the fact that Arjun has been blindsided and is not being able to gather his bearings...it's all happening so fast and he's got this shocked and helpless look on his face cuz he can't figure out how to salvage the situation in that instant as the entire family is piling on him...Once he manages to get out of there, he's going to rush to Purvi and try to make sense of all this I guess.

Purvi's expressions weren't shown in the segment I think...that was just Asha they were showing...not Purvi's actual expressions from the scene...I'm guessing Purvi will be crying and shocked in the scene too...and then she too will have her own moments of processing that Arjun is engaged and to her Aayi's real daughter of all ppl.

DK's reaction also remains to be seen...will he support Arjun or will Ekta go the cliched route of everyone taking Purvi to be a gold-digger who wanted to trap Arjun...the chances are bright seeing the way the Power of Attorney is being noticed by the respective set of parents...again it will give more fodder to paint Purvi as a bechari as everyone hurls accusations at her and only Arjun and Archana stand by her.


I don't think there is going to be any wrath from Purvi's side...lol...I think she's just going to be crying in hurt all the time and back off cuz it's OVI i.e. her Aayi's daughter...if Ovi wasn't in the picture, then Purvi may have shown him her wrath.

Arjun may be a strong, clear-headed businessman before this but this is his first time dealing with love and all the complications that come with this...he won't have an immediate answer to everything cuz there are way too many ppl involved in this that matter to him a lot...and misunderstandings are never cleared easily in K-land.


Frankly I'm not really bothered much about the engagement cuz I guess I can be called a jaded K-soap viewer who's seen this happen enough times and many times no less in this very show that it doesn't surprise me...as I said in another thread...the engagement is no big deal...that can be broken in a jiffy and Kekta thrives on dramatic marriages...which is what AP will likely get now cuz Ovi got the engagement...

AP are in for the long haul of having an angsty, dramatic story...

Starwars, if he does not break this engagement right away and instead runs around like a puppy on a leash (Ovi's and DK's), that is it for Arjun Kirloskar, the oo la la hero who melted our hearts just last week! 😭
