Finally the day had arrived which was most awaited by the two families and dreaded by Arjun Purvi. The wedding day holds lots of hesitation, nervousness and fear; and it was the same for Arjun and Purvi.

As the sun rays fell on her beautiful face, she stretched her hands as if embracing the hope the rays were giving. A new feather was being added in her life for which she was excited as well as nervous. Purvi got up from her bed and freshened up for Ganesh puja which is held on the wedding day.

On the other hand Arjun woke up to find himself sleeping on the floor. As he looked here and there flashes of last night and ashna's face flooded in front of his eyes. He got up due to the knock on the door and suddenly remembered that he had to get ready for puja. Arjun went for a quick shower and wore indian attire to perform the puja.

The puja was going on simultaneously at both the houses for the better future of their children who were soon going to be tied into a relation that was for lifetime. The blessings of lord Ganesh is said to be the beginning of a married couple's life. After the puja Arjun and Purvi went to get ready in their wedding attire.

Purvi wore a simple Marathi sari which was given to her by her maternal uncle and mundavlaya (decorative strings of pearl, beads and flowers). She looked very simple yet beautiful, her makeup was kept as simple as it could be and hands were adorned with mehendi whose color had turned out to be very dark.

Time and again Purvi looked at the 'A' written on her hand and blushed, a drop of tear fell from her cheek which she rubbed off immediately but it was noticed by tej who was helping Purvi.

"why are you crying? You are marrying the love of your life", tej asked her. Purvi had asked Manav to let tej and ovi come over to her place and even asked him to be present there as her father figure.

"I am very happy, but I will be leaving this place and going away forever, so a bit sad", purvi said. Archana and sulochana who were standing behind tried to control their emotions but were unsuccessful. Both came running towards purvi and hugged her tightly.

"aunty, aaji are you going to kill her. well poor Arjun itni umar mein yeh dard kaise bear karega", tej joked to make the environment light and was successful.

Arjun was getting ready and was made to wear a Marathi kurta and dhoti. He looked very handsome in the attire and was ready to kill girls with his look.

Neil and DK were looking at Arjun shockingly as they never even imagined that Arjun would wear Marathi traditional dress. Arjun smirked as he saw the look on their faces and went closer to them standing few inches away from them.

"I know I am sexy and hot, but please stop giving me those glares", Arjun said. Neil and DK smiled at each other and burst into fits of laughter. On seeing Arjun go all red due to anger, both stopped laughing and DK hugged Arjun.

"You are looking very handsome. Ashna would be very happy to see you like this", he said.

The grooms family and relatives left their place and reached Purvi's place with lots of dancing and music in which Neil was at the front dancing like crazy. As they reached the door the seeman puja took place. These puja is held to welcome the groom and his family. After welcoming them the bride's father washes the feet of the groom as a mark of respect. Manav and archana stole glances at each other when the time to wash arjun's feet came. Archana came forward, but was stopped by Manav.

"Let me do it. Purvi is like my daughter only so if you permit can I do it", Manav asked.

"but baba purvi is archana aunt's daughter so how can you", ovi asked angry that her father was ready to do the rituals for a girl who snatched her love.

"yes I know but purvi does not have a father so I thought of doing it", Manav said and before any further argumentations he started to wash Arjun's feet. After that Arjun was showered with lots of gifts from archana and all to bless him for his married life.

At archana's place the ceremonial breakfast was taking place where the groom's family are served lavish breakfast. The groom's family left their place early in the morning and so they are served the breakfast. Simultaneously purvi did the gaurihar puja in her room. She sat on a pat in her room and in front of her; a silver idol of Parvati was placed on a heap of rice on another pat. Purvi kept on taking some rice with both her hands and put it atop the idol while praying to the Goddess Annapurna. During this time she was not supposed to speak and concentrate only on the puja.

After the puja both the family sat there while Purvi was taken to the mandap without Arjun-purvi seeing each other. She sat at the mandap until the auspicious time arrived and Arjun came and then the antarpat ceremony started.During this period a silk cloth is placed between the bride and groom as they cannot see each other. The priest started chanting wedding matras after antarpat ceremony took place and the cloth was removed and Arjun purvi looked up to see each other.

Arjun was mesmerised by purvi's beauty and simplicity and kept on looking at her which made purvi shy away. He looked at her hands and saw the dark color of her mehendi and winked at her which made her go even more red due to blushing.

"In wedding ritual also they are flirting", neil whispered in alia's ear.

"At least they are doing something other than fighting", alia said.

After the matras were over the priest called purvi's father to do the kanyadan where in once again Manav came forward confusing ovi and tej. Manav tied a part of Arjun and purvi's dress in a knot and placed purvi's hand atop Arjun. The pandit asked Arjun to place the mangalsutra in purvi's neck. Both kept on looking at each other while Arjun placed it in her neck. The next pandit told Arjun to put sindoor on purvi's forehead, as soon as Arjun filled her maang purvi closed her eyes to absorb the moment.

Arjun and purvi got up as the pandit as the pandit instructed for the seven vows. In the first four wows Arjun was to be at the front.

The first step of the seven vows is to pledge that they would provide a prospered living for the household or the family that they would look after and avoid those that might hinder their healthy living.

During the second step of the seven pheras, the bride and the groom promise that they would develop their physical, mental and spiritual powers in order to lead a lifestyle that would be healthy.

During the third vow, the couple promises to earn a living and increase by righteous and proper means, so that their materialistic wealth increases manifold.

While taking the fourth vow, the married couple pledges to acquire knowledge, happiness and harmony by mutual love, respect, understanding and faith.

After the fourth vow the pandit asked purvi to lead the pheras, and so Arjun went behind Purvi

The fifth vow is taken to have expand their heredity by having children, for whom, they will be responsible. They also pray to be blessed with healthy, honest and brave children.

While taking the sixth step around the sacred fire, the bride and the groom pray for self-control of the mind, body and soul and longevity of their marital relationship.

When the bride and the groom take the seventh and the last vow, they promise that they would be true and loyal to each other and would remain companions and best of friends for the lifetime.

As the pheras ended the priest announced that the wedding is complete and Arjun and purvi are bounded into the pavitra rishta for lifetime. Arjun purvi got down the mandap and took blessings of their elder. Archana blessed them and hugged both of them. The next they went to touch manav's feet who stopped them midway and asked told "my blessings are always with you. But your place is in my heart", saying so he engulfed ArVi in his arms. For the first time purvi felt the warmth of a fathers arm and tears of happiness flooded from her eyes.

DK stood there looking at his son and silently congratulated Ashna for their son's wedding and whispered "wish you were here to see the biggest day of your son's life", Arjun on seeing his father cryinf went to him and hugged him.

"I miss mom as well. But dad tears don't suit you" Arjun said eyes filled with tears.

"yes uncle, Ashna aunty will be sad if she sees you like this", purvi said a bit nervous when saying these. Archana, Manav also became sad and remembered Ashna who was their friend in times of need.

"Purvi beta. I am angry with you. You are my not my bahu but beti, so I would prefer you call me dad like Arjun" DK said making a babyish face showing the new side of his character. At first all were confused as to why DK was angry but as they heard the next sentence all started to smile. Purvi nodded and called him "baba", which got her blessings and a hug from her DK baba.

Both of them went to Neil and alia who were waiting for their friends to come to them.

"So got the time to talk to us", alia said angrily while purvi kept her hands on her shoulder and squashed her into a rib crushing hug and Arjun did the same to neil.

"By the way next is your turn you guys know Na?" purvi teased the two which got her angry cum blushing glares from alia and neil. Before they could continue their chit chat they were called in to give sweets to the guests.

Both were made to sit in the hall, while the arrangement for the reception was done outside. The family of the groom are made to eat first with the bride's family serving them. Archana and alia helped everyone with the serving, while Purvi went to her room to freshen up.

After that the bride's relatives were made to eat, but with the condition put by DK that now they will serve them.

"no DK sir we are following the ritual, you please go and sit", archana said.

"I am sorry archana but if you can serve my guest so can I", DK insisted.

"aunty uncle is saying the truth. You served us toh ab hamari taraf se bhi khatirdari ho jaye", said neil. Alia looked at him and smiled and showed him thums up.

After a lot of insistence archana agreed to it although she was against it. The reception was handled beautifully by both the family, after which the happiest as well the sad moment of purvi's life came. It was the time of bidaii the time when all the sweet and fond memories of a girl's childhood rushes in front of her eyes and it pricks her heart to leave her small ashiyana. Archana cried hugging sulo who was trying to stop her. Purvi could not stop her tears which made their way automatically.

"aai, please don't cry. Aaji bol na", purvi sobbingly said. On hearing purvi's voice archu rubbed the tears of her face and went near Purvi and placed a kiss on her forehead "I have all the rights to cry but at the same time I am happy for you Purvi. Be happy always and always remember this will always be your house but now you have to make your sasural as your home" Purvi nodded and hugged her mother.

Sulochana went to DK and Arjun and folded her hands and said "our Purvi is now yours. Please never hurt her, she gets angry very easily but never hurts anyone", she said. Arjun held her hands and said "aaji, Purvi is my responsibility and I will never ever hurt her or let anyone hurt her. Trust me. And I know that gussa uske naak pe hota hai" the lsat sentence earned him a smack from purvi who hugged alia as she realised that she hit Arjun publicly. Everyone present there started to laugh as they saw this and archu teasingly caught purvi's ears.

Purvi and Arjun sat in the car with Manav pushing it from behind (it's a ritual I don't properly know) till it went away from the gate. Purvi once again started to cry in the car and Arjun tried to console her.

"Purvi please stop it. just now you were laughing and now crying", Arjun said annoyingly.

"You don't have to leave your house so you will not understand. And don't fight with me it's the first day of our marriage", purvi said her breathe heavy due to crying.

"when did I fight. I am just explaining to you" Arjun said gritting his teeth.

"see, you are angry at me", and started to cry even more. Arjun placed his fingers on her lips and loudly said "shut up". Purvi stopped crying and looked at him nervously.

"wait till we reach home and then cry. In the car your voice echoes but in the house you can cry", Arjun said sheepishly while purvi looked at him angrily.

Their constant nok-jhok went on till they reached home, where tej was standing with puja thal in her hand. She did the puja and placed the kalash filled with rice for purvi to kick- this symbolises the arrival of wealth and prosperity in married life. After that a plate with vermillion and water was placed. Purvi placed her right foot and then the left in the plate and started to move in, leaving the footprints mark behind- this symbolises the arrival of good luck and goddess Lakshmi.

The wedding was finally completed and both Arjun-purvi were tied together for lifetime. Two beating hearts were tied by a powerful string of wedding, but to become one they needed love which was missing. And now the process to fall in love will start gradually and mutually.
