Manav is a moron, he has made no attempt to get in touch with his pavitra rishta, his wife in all these 18 years, expects her to be faithful and waiting, has never made any attempt to see if she is amply provided for or how she is even faring. 18 long years, he has not lifted a finger to dial a number he knows well or to even make enquiries as to whether she lives or dies. What kind of pyaar or rishta is that? Now, he gets upset that she is asking him for money and a flat? He is a rich man, he should gladly make amends for not sharing his all with her all these years and for snatching her children from her.

Archana, on the other hand, knew not where Manav was in Canada, didn't have the means to contact him. Which moronic husband would let 18 years go by without making a single attempt to ask or clarify why his wife hadn't accompanied him and their children to Canada? I can understand he was hurt and angry at first but surely if he cared enough, he would have had the sense to call her, write her or do something to find out the truth. He never knew her then if he could not understand her. I hate the way he acts, all superior and condescending to Purvi. I like the fact that it was a slap in his face when he declared he still loved Archu and she told him she didn't, albeit untruly. As for Savita, the less said about her, the better.

Manav knew the phone # of Sulochana's house, whereas Archana had no idea where in Canada Manav was, so it was much easier for Manav to find out about Archana's condition than it was for Archanat to find out about Manav.

We don't even know how many years passed before Archana knew that Manav was in business with DK in Canada, for her to ask him, if she knew how to contact him either. From the show post leap, it appears she only knew that DK and Manav were business partners in Canada in recent times.
