Chapter 4
One month had passed by since Savita and Damo had come and things had settled in at the Deshmukh household. School had started for the kids. Summer was coming to an end as the leaves started changing from green to beautiful shades of red and orange bringing in fall.
It is night time at the Deshmukh's. Archana and Manav have just finished tucking the kids in and Savita and Damodar have also retired for the night. Archana and Manav also change and settle down in their bed. Archana is reading a new book she had gotten from the library while Manav is checking over some bills. Suddenly the phone rings.
Archana: Who could be calling so late at night? she said to herself as she reached to the night stand to grab the cordless phone.
Archana: Hello?
Rajni: Hi Bhabi! It's me Rajni.
Archana: Rajni! How are you??
Manav's face perked up when he heard his sisters name and he turned and looked at Archana.
Rajni: I'm fine Bhabi how are you? And how's Bhaiya and of course how are my two cuties Ishika and Soham?? And Ma and Bauji are at your house right now also right?? how are they??
Archana: Everyone is doing fine Rajni. You tell me, how was your honeymoon?? she asked teasingly
Rajni blushed slightly
Rajni: Amazing Bhabi, she said dreamily, I never knew Ajith could be sooo romantic.
Archana: Oh wow, romantic, she said teasingly.
Rajni: Bhabi!
Archana: Okay okay sorry! Here talk to your brother. She handed the phone over to Manav
Manav: Hey lil' sis how's it going?!
Rajni: Hey big bro! Things are well here.
Manav: Looks like you have forgotten us after getting married, He said teasingly
Rajni: On no bhai its nothing like that, Ajith and I just got back last week and we just settled down. Anyways, I called to ask if you guys have any plans for Thanksgiving break yet.
Manav: Not yet, why?
Rajni: Then why don't you are all coming over here for Thanksgiving and stay for a week. Sachin Bhai and Preeti Bhabi have already said yes so if you guys also come then we can have a full family dinner.
Manav: That sounds like a good idea. It should be fine for the kids as they have that full week off for Thanksgiving. I'll have to check my office calendar to make sure I don't have anything major planned but I don't think I do. Talk to Archana and check with her once though. He handed the phone back to Archana.
Manav: Rajni wants to know if we can go over to her place for Thanksgiving, he said as he gave the phone to Archana and took out his laptop to check is schedule to see if he had any major things during that week at work.
Archana: Hello Rajni, That's fine with me and kids also have the week off from school as Manav said. I'm sure Ma and Bauji would also love to see you guys.
Rajni: That's great Bhabi! Is bhai free though? Archana looked over at Manav who gave her the thumbs up indicating that he was free that week.
Archana: Yes your Bhai has said yes. We will be there for thanksgiving break then.
Rajni: Awesome Bhabi!! Can't wait to see you all! Anyways it's late and I'm sure you guys are tired so I'll talk to you later.
Archana: Bye!
Rajni: Bye Bhabi!
Archana put the phone back on the nightstand. Manav was now watching the news headlines while Archana continued reading her book. Manav turned and looked at her. He was feeling very romantic and naughty. He switched off the TV and moved closer to Archana. She didn't even notice Manav as she was really into her book. Manav gently ran his fingers down the side of her face moving the hair that was falling in her face aside. Archana swatted his hand away and made an irritated face at him. She then continued to read her book. Manav got really upset. He moved away from her and laid down so his back was facing her. archana looked at him and knew he was upset. Her husband looked very sexy when he got angry. She put her book away and moved next to Manav. She laid down on top of him so that her head was on top of his and cuddled up with him.
Manav pushed her off
Manav: I need to sleep. Good night. he lied down again and shut his eyes
Archana knew that he was still very upset but she also knew how to manofy her husband. She laid back on top of him
Archana: Manav, did I ever tell you how….. what's that word?... oh right, sexxxyyy your looking tonight she whispered huskily into his ear and then kissed his neck.
Manav could not stay away from his wife any longer. He suddenly turned around and pinned Archana down underneath him.
Manav: Oh really he whispered huskily.
Archana giggled. Manav moved towards her lips and they both kissed passionately. Archana tangled her fingers in Manav's hair while Manav started taking her clothes off. And now I think it's time to give them some privacy 😉
The next morning, Archana is downstairs with Savita making Breakfast and getting Manav and kid's lunched packed while damo is also awake and is watching the morning news. Manav has taken his shower and is now going to wake the kids up for school.
He walks into Soham's room.
Manav: Soham buddy it's time to wake up, he says as he opens up the window curtains and sunlight floods into the room and disturbs Soham who wrinkles his eyes from the bright light.
Soham: daaadd….5 more minutes, he says sleepily taking his pillow and putting it over his head to lock out the sunlight.
Manav: Beta you're going to be late for school, he says sitting next to him on the bed,
Soham grudgingly gets up still sitting on the bed with his eyes closed.
Manav: At least open your eyes, He says chuckling while heading to the closet to take out clothes for Soham. He hands Soham his clothes
Manav: Go and quickly get ready okay? And call me if you need anything. I'm going to get your sister ready.
Soham: Okay dad, he said sleepily while heading to the bathroom.
Manav: Good boy!
He next goes to Ishika's room where she is sweetly sleeping hugging her favorite doll.
Manav opens her window curtains. Ishika wrinkles her eyes at the sudden brightness and turns around facing the other side away from the sunlight. Manav sits next to her on the bed.
Manav: Ishiboo, sweetiepie it's time to wake up, he gently turns her around so she is facing him. She opens her eyes slowly and gets up. She rubs her eyes and then curls up into Manav's lap.
Ishika: Good morning daddy she said as she leaned on Manav's chest and shuts her eyes
Manav: Good morning honey bun, he places a kiss on the top of her head. He then looked down at her and saw that she had gone back to sleep.
Manav: Oh so this is Ishika's new trick, he said out loud. he then started tickling her.
Ishika was laughing like crazy ad was now completely awake.
Ishika: DAADDYY STOP IT!! PLEEASEE! she said as she laughed
Just then Archana walked in to Ishika's room
Archana: What's going on here she asked angrily. Ishika! you're not ready yet?! And Manav don't you have to go to work! You both are sitting here fooling around instead?!
Manav: Archana why are you getting so tensed. We'll both be down and ready in 30 Minutes. Right ishi?
Ishika: Yes! she said jumping out of her daddy's lap. She ran over to her mama and pulled on her hand so that Archana bent down. Ishika planted a large kiss on Archana's cheek.
Ishika: Daddy come quickly okay? she then skipped happily to the bathroom to get ready while archana looked at her in shock.
Manav: Yes sweetie. I'll be there soon.
Archana: I fail to understand this girl, she said in disbelief while Manav laughed.
Soham's bus was in the first shift as he was in a higher grade while Ishika's bus came afterwards.
Soham came down after getting ready and saw his daddu watching ESPN where sports highlights were being played.
Archana came out of the kitchen and saw Soham sitting before the TV instead of coming to eat his breakfast. His bus would be there in 10 minutes.
Archana: SOHAM! What are you doing?! can't you see the time? You're going to late and you know the rule, if you miss the bus that's it, no one will drive you to school.
Soham: Just one minute Mom, he said half listening to her as he was more focused on the sports highlight's
Archana was about to yell at him again when Savita came out of the kitchen and hold her hand, she indicated Archana to not say anything indicating that she would handle the situation.
Savita: Soham beta this isn't right. You have to listen to what mama says right? Now I know you're a good boy so can you come over you now to eat your breakfast?
Soham: Yes daddi. He obediently went and finished his breakfast.
He then went into the kitchen to get his lunch. Archana was there adding some snacks to his lunch.
Soham: Mom can you please give me my lunch now?
Archana didn't respond or look at him but instead just handed him his lunch bag. Soham knew she was still angry at him for not listening to her right away.
Soham: Mama I'm sorry, he said holding his ears. from now on I'll listen to whatever you say right away.
Archana: Promise, she said turning around
Soham: Promise he said sweetly with a smile.
Archana: Then can you give mama a kiss, she said turning her head so her cheek was facing him. Soham kissed her cheek and then archana also gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Archana: Now go, you're going to miss your bus, she said gently pushing him towards the door.
Soham: Bye Mom!
Archana: Bye sweetie!
Soham ran out the front door after saying bye to his daddu and daddi and Manav and ishika who had just came downstairs and were eating breakfast. After some time, Ishika also left for school. Savita and Damo settled down to watch TV while Archana went up with Manav to help him get ready for work.
Archana: Manav do you still not know how to properly match a tie and shirt. What kind of color combination is this. I have to do everything for you, she said with frustration
She walked over to the closet while Manav began removing his tie. He also walked into the closet and saw archana looking for a matching tie. He walked into the closet.
Manav: I thought Indian house wife's are supposed to enjoy serving their husbands, so why are you complaining about having to do everything for me, he said teasingly.
Archana: haha very funny, she said sarcastically, she picked out a silver tie that matched with his black shirt and put it around his neck, she was about to walk away when Manav caught her hand and pulled her back towards him.
Manav: I need my dutiful wife to tie my tie now, he said teasingly while wrapping his hands around her waist and pulling her closer.
Archana: Who said I am a dutiful wife, she asked teasingly
Manav: Only a dutiful wife would allow me to do this, he said and then kissed her neck
Archana: Manav you have to go to office! Let go of me! she said trying to push Manav away but his hands were too strong.
Manav: Nope, not until you tie my tie, he said mischievously
Archana: First let go of me and then I will,
Manav: Okay then, he lets go of her and Archana finishes tying his tie. Archana walks away again but Manav grabs her hand and pulls her back again.
Archana: Manav what is wrong with you today, she said as she tried to get out of his grip, you're going to be late for work. I don't understand why I seem to be more worried about this than you, she said still struggling to get out his grip.
Manav: There is still one more thing my dutiful wife needs to do for me.
Archana: What now? she said exasperated
Manav starts tapping his lips with his pointer finger and Archana understands what he wants and smiles at him.
Archana: Well this dutiful wife does not have problem doing that she said as she moved towards his lips. They kissed and when the kiss started getting passionate Archana pushed Manav away.
Archana: That's enough Manav, she said pushing him out of the room and downstairs.
Manav said bye to his parents and walked outside to his car with archana. He got into his car and Archana was standing outside near his window. He lowered the window. She leaned over the door and gave him a peck on the lips.
Archana: Come home early okay? she said smiling
Manav: Of course darling.
Archana: I love you
Manav: I love you too, he then gave her another peck on the lips and reversed out of the driveway.
Archana went back inside the house and sat with her in-laws.
Archana: Ma, bauji, rajni called last night
Savita: Really!! how is she!!??
Archana: Very good, she and Ajith just got from their honeymoon last week. She is asking us to come over during Thanksgiving break this year. Sachin and Preeti have already confirmed that they are going and Manav and I can also go. Are you guys okay with going?
Damo: Achana beta why wouldn't we? We will be surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren! Of course we would love to go!
Savita: Exactly! We will most definitely go!
Archana: Okay then, its confirmed!

So I actually do not like this part as much 🤔…..I tried to get in as much arman romance as possible but I was having trouble being creative and trying to think of new ideas…I'll try to be more creative in the next Chapter 😳. Please leave comments and suggestions!!!! Don't be shy!!😃
