I felt he could do better than be with her. I felt sorry for him at that point. But he doesn;t care- she kills his babies, she kills someone else's babies, he puts up with it, forgives her, tolerates all her tantrums- as you rightly said- he is helpless, fine- can;t he even scold her good and proper? Correct her when wrong? - if he IS STILL that way (helpless) and does nothing to improve his situation, has accepted it that way, then what is left in the story? Baat khatam.
But this is true of Manav too . Hundreds of insults , like a DOG ...from Karanjkars ...two jailings , framed as a chor , striped of money , Death of a brother ...He was going on being 'helplessly' nice to them as they were his sasural ...Archana's family . Why i said this was NOT to debate at all . Uninterested in debate ...That was part of me when i actively participated in the forum on all threads and answered etc . Why i commented on this is bcoz Manav has done exactly the same things that u say Satish did ...yet ur interest in him did not flag and I found that interesting . What I deduced from it is exactly what u said ...the 'connection ' one feels with one character is not really explainable .
The comment about Manav fans nowdays being huffy with Satish was in general . Its not referring to u . Nowdays I read many posts where i saw irritation with Satish . I was puzzled coz the full serial is replete with characters who backstabbed Manav ...The only one who never did it was Satish and even when he once did it he had a valid cause .
Even NOW , lets see if the death of his child makes him behave badly with the trio that killed his baby or he DOES keep relation for formality sake . Satish was supposed to dump Varsha for aborting his child but I bet Manav was not expected to dump Archana for giving the baby up to Varsha . Its the ARMAN thingie ...the ARMAN expectation .
I fully understand u saying u connect to one character and not to another . Am not here to change ur views or debate today . Just expressing MY feelings bas . Even ur comment about being sympathetic to Ajit but not to Satish was interesting . Ajit raises his hand on Vandu constantly in front of Rasika when its not her fault . Satish did it only once but Varsha is Varsha , we all know that . Ajit buckles in front of his mom and has given Vandu hardly any voice in her home . Satish has respected his wife and effectively shown Bhavna her place when Bhavna has been extremely nosy . Although I have taken Ajits side on a number of occasions I wud definetely sympathize more with Satish than Ajit ...coz even in the Manav Ajit fight , Although Manav was wrong , Ajit WAS wrong to gamble with business money . He is not blameless so My sympathy as such does NOT go to this character . Ultimately Shibu cud trap him coz somewhere along he went wrong too . But u connect to him and Manav and I connect to Satish , isn't it interesting ? Its as u said ...unexplainable .
