This is a daily show and it wil l have strange twists and turns ...every character in this show is grey .Maybe for some the grey is light grey but for some it may be dark grey ..

You and I thought that Archana was wrong , very wrong .. some here were feeling sorry for her and were feeling that she was being just like she is sensitive and loving towards her sister..

I am not saying she was right but I am just saying that it is up to people to believe what they want to believe ...

As for being a wrong influence , I don't think that will be the case .SOTD is not important enough to do something like this.It is just a little thread for some daily dose of entertainment for the members .It is not to be taken seriously at all..People who don't think it is good don't take part and some who have fun do ...that's it ...

I think the only thing that matters to the CVs are the TRPs ...that's all they worry about ...

They do not even care about moral values and all that .If the TRPs will be good , they will change Archana into a serial killer and if TRPs want they will change her back into a saint ...

Maybe they do check this thread ...but at the most to get an idea what the members of IF want and even for that I am not sure of ...

Honestly , it is just for fun thing ...

I nominate according to the length and the importance that a certain character has in that show ..Like Dharmesh is negative but he is there for some tiem so I will nominate him ...It's up to people to decide how they see him ...

See there is no fixed parameter for the voting process though the process itself is democratic.

When u started this thread I had been inactive on the forum. When I came back I remember you saying that this thread was to send CVs a message about their plots and character portrayals. this was pre-re marriage. You said you wanted the members of this forum to tell them when they were going the wrong way and also to tell them when they were doing the right thing.

the basic premise of your thread is LOST. it no longer exists.

No one is asking you to push your opinion on other members as another voting member. No one is asking the members to change their votes. several occasions some more than note the people on this thread post using the fan reason. that is their choice just as it is yours.

As the OWNER of the thread ask yourself if there is any purpose to receiving this "Star" award and recognition of Archana each deay - in sickness in health, in good in bad, in single status in married status, in delusionary state of mind and normal state of mind, in bigamy, in monogamy - ask yourself this as THE OWNER of this thread not a voting member.

You say today that the CVs do not check this thread, I disagree and many others do. The CVs check this and every other thread on the forum. Before there was SOTD and Kool's commentary. it gave the CVs a balanced view. Then Kools was maliciously driven of this forum. I do not need anyone to agree with me on why Kools left because I know exactly why she left, what happened, when it happened and with who it happened. the question here is not why she left.

the problem is that there is a vaccum on this forum for the opposite perspective. SOTD's views are not balanced for the CVs.

You closed FOTD as you did not want to give a wrong message and at that time I told you that it was not FOTD but SOTD that you need to close as the more dangerous lopsided message was being given by SOTD. I still believe this. I am not saying this to bash you or bash this thread. I am just observing some effects of the recognition and nomination thread.

I know how important it is for fans to have recognition thread for characters or actors that they can relate to only a deeply personal level and you seem to have a few regulars that come daily to share in a common pleasure, I can understand how pleasing this must be but as the OWNER of a thread especially one that is as popular as this one - over 100 votes just today - you have a responsibility to gauge a) what is the purpose of the thread and b) if there is a message is it a correct one.

A star should be awarded based on merit of the character's actions not on our empathy with the character or our appreciation of an actor. I do not want you to push your opinions on others or judges their choices but I second sowyma's comments with arequest to discontinue the poll which does not serve any legitimate purpose and keep the thread only as a daily appreciation to Ankita and the character Archana and Arman.

It would send a different message to the CVs - the fans of the leads and the actors are still supporting their efforts inspite of the CVs attempt to ruin the characters and force the actors to play awful plots.

Don't close SOTD - but seriously consider stopping the polling and keeping it as a daily appreciation thread.

many days there is no one deserving to win and members out of lack of choice vote for reasons based less on the characters meritful actions and more on other unrelated things.

No one is asking anyone to change their vote. We are just asking tanya why the polling should continue when it is more to show empathy or appreciation of an actor than to convey support of someon'e right decision.

I mean it can just be an appreciation thread na? Then the participation itself will indicate the character and actor's popularity?

karsri, sorry to butt in but yes they do.

CVs, production people even the actors come daily and check threads, they actually use IF - which is a very popular forum as their test environment for certain tracks - this is why you notice some tracks are left unfinished because they have not generated the desired interest.

when the forum is in an uproar over a track - be it good like the remarriage or bad like the divorce or the shravani track or the dharmesh track and now the giving baby away track -they continue with it for perpetuity totally draining viewers emotionally - becasue there was tremendous interest, ongoing debate, sustained empathy and a loyal fan base.

archana's baby being given away to arman would be the worst things for archana fans just like arman divorce but did they will do it somehow just like they did divorce if they realize that fans will not leave inspite of the bad tracks. When archana gets nominated on the day that she decides to give away her baby - it is because she was empathized with - but the CVs get the message that no matter how crappy you make archana's life and the lives of her loyal fans she is still worthy of merit and regonition.

this is dangerous. they will continue to destroy archana with their crappy experiments. u saw how they forced ankita to do the savita track. CV Joshi is a horrid man. he has a primitive brain.

this is not the man you want to be giving a subtle or even wound out message too. it will only backfire

Hope there is no way I would stop the polling . The polling right now is around 70 to 80 votes a day so obviously it means that so many people come every day and happily participate in this little activity .It makes me ver y very happy that somewhere I involves so many people in one place .

Ok without getting into all the lengthy discussion and reassurance etc. etc. I am just going to give a simple suggestion. If you feel it's good follow, otherwise, no problem. Why don't we make another thread...like an Archana fan thread, and keep SOTD as a thread to send a positive message out to the CVs? If you don't want to change SOTD, then why don't we make a new thread called "Best character of the day" where people can vote based on only the character's actions (not based on who they are a fan of) and SOTD can be a place where people can vote based on whatever they choose be it appreciation of the character, or actor or whatever.

Seriously Tanyaz, I am more interested in the amount of people that press the "like button" for Written Updates than the amount of votes that a character get. I feel so happy when the WU "likes" top 100 as I feel the updaters are being rewarded for their hardwork. Many times I depend on WU to decide if to watch the show or not. WU guides me whether to post or vote silently in SOTD. Hats off to you and ballarox.👏👏 You guys are the true ⭐️s.

In fact I have even read somewhere that sushant rajput had shown his displeasure tha tweekly charts coem out and they change the characters according to those charts ...

TanyaZ - it is not just sushant I heard many other actors saying that. too.

A very clear example is the way the divorce track was changed .On the day of the divorce , archaan was the star and first the TRPs were above 7 then the next week only it crashed down to 2.8 .Immediately a big meetign was called including Ekta kapoor ..the character Jaywant Rane was introduced and the one year leap ws planned .
