I just logged in and cannot believe the hullabaloo about who should be SOTD.😕😲😲 I mean this is a thread for the audience to choose whomever they felt left an impression on them. Many times I do not agree with the SOTD winner just like how I was never a fan of the FOTD but who am I to create a fuss about people's choice. I come and vote and that's it. I care less about who wins or loses for crying out loud. No matter what who we choose or what we do, Rajesh Joshi will do whatever he pleases.

I always feel highly offended and very, very, very angry when I vote for someone and people think I am not in my right mind or a blind fan.😡 It is my choice and no one should have the nerve to imply or intimidate me or others to vote for their choice or a particular nominee.. Absolute nonsense yaar, this is a democracy.

I felt Archana was totally wrong in offering her unborn kid to Varsha but when I read vishwap's post, I understood where she was coming from and felt sorry for her. I guess many felt the same. Does that mean that it is some conspiracy or blind fanship. Gimme a break.

Oh yea, and about suggesting who should be nominated or not...what the hell!!!. Then many days we would be voting for blanks.

Maybe they do have a look at this thread as well...i have seen it being discussed other places as well...some other shows members have also contacted me if they can do the same for their show ...

But I thin k at the end of the day what Cvs are keeping an eye on are the TRPs ..

TanyaZ- I am curious, does Cvs or production people read what viewers write on IF or other blogs???

I know people send emails directly to the channels and comment on their websites or facebooks.
I heard some people even call them.

Hi All,

Sorry to butt in, wish to give my two cents.

No one is questioning Tanya Di's Effort and the time she put forth in. Its highly Appreciable.👏.
we are just worried that the effort put forth and the sole purpose of this thread being opened(to chose a deserving winner) is not done.

What Sowmya intended to say is that, A real candidate who deserves victory should get it.
Just because a character as so many members adoring him/her, shouldn't get through for the mistakes they have done.

Sowmya has given a idea to make it more appropriate and may be the deserve candidate win.
she has given a suggestion,thats it,Not commanding from any point. Its not crying out loud for the loser, its just expressing the faults in the character who was crowned. if we had nothing to do with it ,then for whom these serials being made. surely TRPs have a take in it and such forums too.

yes,right to vote is democracy ,right to chose the better candidate is also a duty. as far I have seen the members and friends who have posted yesterday were angry with archu, so obviously the shock was there when she wins SOTD.

And we have seen that the suggestions here in IF came thro in script and that some changes that said here, we have seen happened in PR(Tanya di's suggestion as came too). so,I think, its a way to express our views on wrong things and say wrong is a wrong so that there may be a resurrection in the character we love.

And surely the displeasure will be there from those who thought the other character was a well deserving one. right is for everyone right? when one is offended for entire vote system being questioned thinking that I was one among them who voted, then doesn't others have the right to get offend when they put their vote and time to make the deserving candidate win.

Though almost a more than half agreed she was not right yesterday, then how come she is winning is what make one wonder. we are speaking on facts too. when the regular members are not happy with archu(seen from posts),how many silent member would be there who find archu was right.

Democracy at its best,Ok but its also our duty to make it appropriate. Though laws are there it can be reframed. though everyone has the right to vote in real life scenario,the candidates who stands for it also should have some qualifications. why cant we follow it here too is what sowmya told. Candidates to vote can be selected on a criteria is what she told which I agree.

But then ok,Tanya di as answered back politely to the polite request by sowmya.It ends there is what I see.so why continuation in it.

okay, 1st there is NO tamasha going on. sowmya stated her POV and offered a suggestion to tanyaz, to which she replied back. Its Tanyaz thread, she decided, she said.. who made a tamasha???

nobody said ANYTHING about who YOU vote for.. sowmya isnt talking about that. so, why are you feeling so offended???

afterall, by the rules of democracy, isnt sowmya allowed to point her views?😕

The only reference to my post to sj was when she mentioned which charcter should be nominated.. I felt that was a silly suggestion because daily all goof up majorly. Reason why i said we would be voting for blanks. For example, which guy goes around blurting about abortion.

The only reason I did not blast manav was because I felt Varsha and Satish should have been honest with adoption authorities instead of asking arman to lie. That was a major screw up by Manav but most went light on him for that.

My entire reference was to earlier posts where some of my friends said they reported sotd, talks of multiple Ids and stuff like that. Maybe it all the ids from JDJ

i stand by my post and I get psst when someone referred to my vote as fanship or I am out of my mind. I respect each and every vote. It is the person's prerogative whom they voted for. Not mine, not yours.

again, YOU dont need to get pissed as

a) no one was pinpointing your vote...

b) she was talking to tanyaz.. not you. so why interefere? and she was very polite in giving suggestions to better the thread. as tanyaz pergorative, she was very polite in refusing, bat khatam.

you can make comments, but your tone was rude and all the angry emoticons are unneeded as poor sj and tanyaz were VERY polite to each other.

sj didnt take names or hint at you, for you to get pissed and angry. a very polite post between two lovely members doesnt deseve to come down to this.

Sorry to say this again. But had too.

you said before,' How one have the nerve to say my voting is unworthy and get angered at it'.

Then Like that ,from that POV its not right to call a suggestion given by other member as silly and comment on it with a rude tone. Then they have the right to get anger at it also.

It was a valid suggestion given by sowmya from my POV and its upto Tanya di to take it or not and Tanya di has given her side of view too which is accepted by both of them.

That was a issue between two good members who have shared their view politely on a good note. They are already ok with it. so Lets leave it here.

True that the CVs and writers will ultimately do what they please, but you forget this is the country that brought a dead character to life (Mihir Virani) due to people being so involved with the characters. Also, IF is fast becoming a medium of interaction between members and actors; and a feedback medium for the creatives on what works and what doesn't. If you look at any show, you will see that the activity in the show's forum is parallel to the show's acceptance; and the shows that have none to less active members on IF are quickly yanked off air. And example is Zee's own Aapki Antara, which was a great show and started off very well and had very good participation from IF members. Then, the show took some turns and members didn't like it and most abandoned the show; and it was pulled off air quickly after that. I'm not sure if it is the cause or effect, but IF is definitely an indication of a show doing well or not, and what tracks go well with the audience.

I didn't say anything about fanatics or that people who vote here are not in the right frame of mind. Infact, I acknowledged that everybody have different opinions and they have the right to it. I did not imply that anybody should vote for a particular character or demand that they shouldn't. I have no favorites in the show, and I rarely participate in this thread and don't know anybody here. This is only the third time that I've posted here, and rest assured that I will not be doing so again. This is democracy yes, and I suggested something to Tanya who I've interacted with before and found to be a fair person with no demands at all.

I also didn't say who should be nominated, rather I suggested who should not be. This is only nomination, not actual voting. Anybody can vote for who they wish to in the list of nominees for the day, and if a character is not in the nominee list there's a "Anybody else" option which has been used before I think. I can not and do not care for influencing anybody to vote for somebody, I really don't care that much for the show. I've always been upfront about my questions/suggestions up to now, and polite to the best of my ability. The reason I even made this post and gave the suggestion, I already explained in my earlier post and this one again. Some actions are wrong which ever way you look, or I look, and this is the "Star of the day" thread, and wrong actions are not praiseworthy, atleast according to me. I doubt there would be voting blanks, since this is a relative thread, some days one character shines more than the rest. There is an order of who "shined" the most to the least.
