Archana locks Savita - indya.com

Though Manav and Archana have returned to his parents home and taking care of Savita (Usha Nadkarni), she doesn't like it and is expressing herself and itching for an excuse to throw Archana out.

Savita is suffering not only from Alzheimer's but also depression and doesn't want to live anymore. Archana's ministrations are bringing out the fire in her. A source says, "Archana believes that behaving like Savita in a loud brash manner, she would fight back and become her old self, become normal. In the maha episode, Archana and Savita will argue about cooking food for Manav and have a shouting match. Then as shown in promos, Archana will lock her saas in the kitchen which will accidentally catch fire."

Apparently Archana aka Ankita Lokhande wasn't convinced about doing so as she is the ideal daughter-in-law in the show but when the creatives explained their reasons that she has to behave like Savita, Ankita agreed.

Moreover, we heard that Usha Nadkarni burnt her fingers in that scene accidentally and it was Ankita who rushed to her rescue as she was the closest.
