awww! a very cute update!
it did remind me of my childhood; except us girls used to play with rollie-pollies, worms, just like little mannu; but now i am scared of them/ or just grossed out. i think its cute how lil archu wants to play house with manav -lol- hes trapped. ( i remember when i was little the girls wouldn't play together with the boys because they had "COOTIES"-
"circle circle dot dot now i've got the cootie shot"-that was the cure😆

I was soooo beautiful, I am all imagining the little Mannu, and the little Archu.😍
Uff li'l Shravani bachpan se hi aisi thi? with fountain on head😆
Me too had played in mud especially in the rainy season here, with friends and cousins, making houses, forts, or the animals, which wouldn't resemble anything.
after that v. good bashing by mom😆
but not in school,
Loved to read it, waiting for next part 😃

Very cute Niki!

The catterpillar box reminded me of my childhood. I even used to catch moths and feed them honey😆 One day the moth was so overfed, it could not move before morning. Then it flew away.

I used to play house too but was not very careful with stuff and used to lose most of the sets. My childhood memory is mostly of playing cricket, hockey,football, lock-and-key, hide and seek, catch-me-if-you-can in my locality, so boys were always great friends. Dont remember playing in the mud though🤔 would have surely remembered the thrashing afterwards😆 That was done in hostel later during holi when no mom was around😆

Eagerly waiting for the next part😃

A cute story Niki. I have lot of memories of the carefree , innocent childhood. My childhood pranks are the bedtime story for my children . Now they have crossed the childhood too. But now and then we still go down the memory lane.

I grew up in a small town and we used to live in official apartments. I had lot of friends to play with. It was a daily routine to came back from school , dump the school bag on the couch , have a snack and go out and play.

Do continue the story, like all the kids , somehow the they seen to carry their childhood traits to the adulthood.

Thankyou everyone who clicked the like button. And thankyou everyone for your interesting replies.

Well, I too played like Archu in the mud. I didn't really have a Mannu, but I played with my cousins in the vacations. We used to make teddy bears of clay and dry them later. I also liked playing 'kitchen set' very much. I had lots of dolls and books and I was very possessive of them too. But I never caught worms. These things scared me big time.
@Sid: I remember Pooja Aunty.. 😆
@Saffy: thanks Saffy!!! I liked enid Blyton very much and have read all her books. All the little characters from PR will get introduced slowly.
@Bhavni: Oh yaar! So sad!
@ArchanaManav: Thanks!!!
@curry-sistah: no kidding! You played with worms!!! WOW!!! The cootie thing, however, went above my head!!! 😆

@jonaki: You don't like Dharmu and Shravani here? Aww... come on, they are just little children... 😆. This story is meant to make everyone, even the villains appear cute.
@Sonii: Thanks! Yeah Shravani bachpan se hi 'Manao Manao' karti thi!! 😆
@Piya: Yes, as I said on the first page, Archie comics were the inspiration for this short series. I love Archie Comics.
@bonnefille: Hey even I have my bachpan ka kitchen set till now- intact! I show it to anyone who cares.
Fountain on head looks very cute on little children. My hair was always short, so no fountain on head.
@Anu: Gosh! Poor little moth!!! How much did you feed it??? 😆
Hostel holi is great fun. even in our hostel we had mud wali holi.
@Jasmine: Thanks! Yes, that is exactly the thought behind starting this series- the foundation of characters takes place in childhood, so lets get back to retropect how Archu and Manav were in their childhood.
Together we'll all have lots of walks down memory lane again in this thread.
