Hi people!
Nice commentary kools.
There are so many things that I wanna say today. Lots of things are going on in my head.
Ganpati Puja and Damo-
Exactly my thoughts on the Ganpati puja and Damodar scene. Whole year these people pester Bappa (not with genuine wishes and prayers but by taking foolish decisions and then blaming Bappa or cursing their fates, and when Bappa gives them a way to set things right, they still don't accept it and later blame Bappa again), at the time when he is being pampered by modaks and all, Damodar again spoilt Bappa's good mood.
Sometimes the CVs completely leave behind some good characters. For instance, what is going on in Damo's life? We are never shown this and I always wonder what he does (except for praying to Bappa for his foolish son and lovely daughter-in-law). If ArMan unite, then the serial will show that the Pavitra Rishta was between Bappa and Damodar- Bhagwan - Bhakt ka pavitra rishta.
Seriously, all the credit for ArMan uniting will go to Damo and Bappa. If he unites ArMan it will only be for Damo's sake, and not bcos ArMan are helpless/love each other/are good people/'sacrifice' for others/'used' by others.
I don't really want ArMan to unite in this manner, but no union would really give a wrong message about God betraying a devotee's trust(Damo). This serial has gone beyond the realms of the usual trash that daily soaps on TV portray. Cos some of the things are shown so seriously that it is impossible to ignore- they just leave the mark, like the tug of war in this 'should bappa unite them?'. Cos as we know Ganpati is the god of 'buddhi'- logic, reasoning- by all means of logic and reasoning, one can say ArMan have been unfair, especially Manav, to all and sundry. I wish we had a dream sequence or something, or Damo's death sequence (sorry but I had no other option coming in my brain) in which he asks God in a daze why he separated ArMan- (like it was shown in the film 'guide' in the end)- and some nice pearls of wisdom thrown by Ganpati bappa at how his two bhakts ArMan are terribly wrong and how he can't do injustice to the whole world due to them- it would be a nice change to show and accept that the leads are wrong for a change.
The debate is still going on my mind as to what I want to see- Bhakt's true faith winning or justice being meted out on the basis of the fact that MAanv is actually no victim. Cos the best that would have been- Ganpati Bappa looking into it that Manav realises his mistakes, makes a stand, makes penance, fights and wins- will never be shown in PR, cos the CVs don't want to show the leads as wrong.
Me in a strange mood today, please don't mind my ramblings.
Okay getting back to the main topic:
Satish- Varsha and abortion (sounds so much like Saas Bahu and saazish.... hehehehe)
What we are going to see right now in the Varsha- Satish scenario is a bit of realistic life, and so I'm glad that somewhere the serial is getting back to its roots. Problems do crop up between husband-wife in these things.
One should always plan best and not get into such problems later. If however, the baby has happened, then an analysis is required about why they don't really need the baby. If it is a genuine reason- such as in the middle of a difficult job training that takes up a lot of time and can't be abandoned midway or something else- then I would even understand, and expect the husband and family to understand as well (Although even in this situation I would prefer they work out some convenient middle route). But here Varsha is not really justified. She can easily wait for one more year at home since she is not working anyway, and wasn't ambitious enough to work in 2 yrs.
Plus Satish's wishes have to be respected. I agree that it is ultimately the woman whose life changes more bcos of the baby- and it is her body- so technically, yes, she is by all means justified in doing what she wants- but you should definitely have some consideration of what your better half wants- more important than the fact that its his baby as well and his right (and rightfully so) is the fact that his wishes must be respected as well, if you truly love him. Satish has done so much for Varsha, now if she does not respond back even in this tiny way by holding back her career ambitions a little, then I would be really disappointed.
There is a nice line that I read once, and I liked it so much that I used it in my FF as well-
"Career, growth, family etc. are all balls to be juggled. The problem is - first two are rubber balls- (they will bounce back)- third is of glass- (it may crash)."
Debatable, but reflects a woman's fear very well. And from I believe, very true too.
Varsha needs to remember this too. She needs to think about everyone this time, not just herself. And even this decision for herself will not be a right one. She will just be acting stubborn if she decides to go in for job now. It won't be a logical, rational decision AT ALL.
I won't blame Satish one bit if he gets superpissed with Varsha and hits out at her this time. Cos everyone has an upper threshold.
Finally, ArMan:
Any amount of rambling on them is actually useless. I will just say two things- 1.) Archana is really a very good person. I loved what she decided about the job today. A most sensible decision. She deserves the very very best in life. I'm so sad she let go of Satish and went back to the dunce called Manav. I hope Jaywant truly falls in love with her, not with her beauty etc. but with actually the beauty in her heart.
2.) Manav- I hate him. Go to hell. Get lost. Idiot!!!
Have anyone of you seen Astitva Ek prem kahani? It showed that the lead hero quietly goes away from everyone's lives when he realises that he has been unfair to both women- his ex-wife (to whom he had not been loyal) and his current wife- (he reads his wife's diary after death). I want something of that sort for Manav after Shravani walks out with child and Savita curses him for losing Sachu. I want Manav to think, that staying and trying to come back in Archu's life after when she is actually trying to make a new beginning- is wrong. I want him to quietly step out of the picture and focus on his growth, and help his family and Archu quietly whenever in need by staying invisible. A second leap later, we can have Archu deciding on whether she wants him back, (after she has said no to marriage with Jaywant that is)
How does it sound????
Ok enough. Gotta get back to my research work. Deadline is two days. Please pray for me guys, I really could do with a bit of good luck right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
