She was interested in only one worker-Manav and she used the whole issue to highlight his poverty and get the job back. If she is so concerned about workers then why not fight for Prakash too.

And that is why I didn't like it. There was no need to take Dharmesh to Vandu's slum and Manav's chawl and all that- why didn't she just show the slums from the road (In mumbai there are a lot of slums) if she really wanted to highlight workers condition and all. Quite clearly it was aimed at creating PITY for Manav. She was displaying the poverty of her 'Bhagwan'.

I would have liked it more if she had not interfered in these stupid ways and instead encouraged MAnav to find another job.

well said!

i found todays episode totally Bekaar.. i mean we all know how lower middle class live in mumbai..moreover dharmesh is not some NRI who has never seen poverty around him.. i didn't find it 1 bit convincing.. is every boss expected to forgive on grounds of compassion? did u see manav apologized only today.. ( after kool's pointed out ).
i don't think Dharmesh needed this kind of eye opener... and also has u said.. why donot they try for another job??
and WTF the ladies doing with a bimaar sachu .. why wasnot shravani shown have suggested to ask her dad 's help.. her character is so inconsistent...

archu taking dharmesh for a tour to the slums does't make sense. In India we see poverty in the streets itself & everyone is aware of it. though we treat as a part & parcel of life.

Anjali,

Agree with whatever u hav said.
I ,for one, hate nepotism.Archana and Ajit getting a job was not OK with me.
Prakashs' intentions may be such but he took care to fight it out outside office premises.
So,Dharmesh actually had one excuse to fire him that is for spreading rumours and disrespecting seniors.Normally, people first get a warning for such issues and then ultimately they r fired. We dont see Prakash getting a warning or anything.
Wouldnt it hav been better had Archana done this bit at some other time,in a more general sense? It clearly was a case of rescuing Manav.
As I said earlier,we do hav workers' union and workers stand up for each other.
My point is if they wanted to show workers' plight, show it in general...dont limit it to Manavs' goodness or to justify his unruly behaviour infront of Dharmesh.

Gauri,

This is not a general values orientation that Archana was conducting, but was needed as Dharmesh was looking at the issue much narrowly. I agree it does smack of "evoking pity" and get Manav his job back strategy that Archana seems to be employing. Just as we look at collataral damage, I would consider 'having a well rounded perspective" for Dharmesh is a collataral beneit. in this situation.

Dharmesh may not have the patience to go thru a process but that's why you create a system so that employees and the organization is treated fairly.

ust as Archana mixes personal and professional, Dharmesh too mixes it. He stated that he gave job to Archana seeing her dedication etc, then why cannot he see the value of Manav's hard work- even satish, his partner is testifying to the value of manav's work.

In fact, the random decisions of Dharmesh, will actually encourage creating of a union and if it is lead by less scrupulous person, then toh Dharmu ki company kaam se gayi, there will be strikes etc. so atleast to ensure profitability which seems to be his one point agenda, Dharmesh needs to have a balanced perspective of work and loyalty.

take care.. Anjali
