Happy Birthday Canada!!!!!!

On July 1, 1867, the British government (under Queen Victoria) approved a plan which allowed Canada to become an independent country with its own government. This new nation, which remained loyal to Britain, was called the Dominion of Canada. At that time, the new Dominion of Canada had only four provinces (Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick). These days, there are 10 provinces and 3 territories.

If I was living in Mississauga, I would have gone to the City Centre for the fireworks....I will be going to the Prince Edward Park today to watch the fireworks. There is all kinds of food, games, shows, face paintaing.... It is always fun to attend the fire works

Thanks Tulsey! I read the national anthem after such a long time!! We wud hear it everyday in school, but not in uni. Heard it last while watching Winter Olympics. I felt so proud when Canadians won! It was so nice to hear the anthem nd then Canadians getting the medals! I never thought I wud feel like this😳 Our whole family use to feel so bad when we migrated here 8 years ago. We wud cry everyday to go bak but now, when I go bak to Pakistan, I miss Canada very much. Its just like Pakistan for me. This country has given me a lot. I started to feel its my home when my mom was diagnosed with Hepatitis C abt 6 years ago. My mom just went to the doctor for the yearly check up (which we dont do in Pakistan) nd thats when we got to know. She was diagnosed nd treated in the very early stage so she is fine now thankfully. If we had stayed in Pakistan, we wud hav not known abt her till the last stage or so. I thank God from bringing us to Canada. I hope my dad comes here soon too. Missing him.
