We criticise manav because we expect LOT from him. PR was different because manav was different. Means we generally had tulsis nd parvatis, but in this show we had MANAV. First time a male lead WAS SHOWN AS BETTER CHARACTER THAN Female lead. He was better than archana. But now ekta has gone back to her same old formula where MALE LEAD OF SHOW JUST KEEPS QUIET AND SEEMS HELPLESS And doesnt do anything. It has been formula of her in all other shows. So now PR is no different. MANAV reminds me of Mhir now when he always used to remain quiet and helpless and depressed. Only difference is that he doesnt drink. ROFL.

Also , Manav may be a saint but Archna is even more saintly .Their saintliness has simply ruined the show and sucked the charm out of the relationship .

I have to say though that in the recent epis over the last two weeks I have seen a gradual build in emotions from Manav

respect (engagement day) ------ kindness/friendship (holi day) ----------- heartfelt pain (thapad day) ------------familiarity (she is my wife day to choo)------------ anger / fear (yesterday) --------------------- loneliness/ pain (today)

Maybe next week will come shy glances, intimacy and then we will get back some chemistry in the main duo.

Ali,talking of grandmothers,I've sadly one.
My parents had to tolerate a lot bcoz I was a girl....my paternal grandparents are outrageously mean and horrible...
Now,that I have achieved what no one in my family has,they have mellowed down...but still they are the same....Indian society isnt all that broad minded but Indian youth is.

Kool, yup. Thats true that archana is more saintly than manav. Remember sanyasin archana devi nd manavacharya. But thats what people like to see. Gosh why they like to see drama and crying. Its fault of people.

Thats it...Manav was less saintly...he was the one in love...giving shy smiles....pav-bhaji date😳....Archu wasnt all that mushy romantic....responsibility has ruined Manav's romanticism

@gaurimisha:
I understand what you are talking about. In my family tree, my parents are the only ones with two daughters. All their siblings have a girl and a boy.
So my grandmom decided not to establish the ganpati idol at our home at ganesh puja every year when the second girl (that is me) was born. We had to follow the tradition for many years.
A few years after she died, I and my sister insisted that we start the ganpati establishment again and my parents happily agreed. Today, both I and my sister have done well and so all my uncles and aunts are jealous of my parents, sad to say but they are having problems with their children today.
