Speaking of how to keep your mard happy, we looked at a document called the Good Wife's Guide in US History last week, and it looks like the ladies in the serials are abiding by it.
On the serial Pratigya, I saw an episode of it and was quite appalled. They were slapping and choking and hitting their wives, there was no respect anywhere. Yet, the wives were trying to please their husbands... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, right on you guys. 😆

I get that this applies to women in "those days" but WHAT?! his topics are more important than yours!!? KILL ME! oh just kill me!!!
Don't complaing if he's late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through that day. --- reallly?!?!?! not even if he might be sneaking around your back cheatiing on you!!? (quite possible)! this kind of bigotry just appalls me!! haila t-bizzle! this really made me mad!! *fuming while my nostrils flare 😡*
Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his well with fairness and truthfulness. @ kool --- I couldnt have agreed more with your post!! I agreed with EVERYTHING on your initial post! this episode was so revolting! the thought of getting married to a man who raped me is just stomach-turning! I have kept good faith in this show.. i thought maybe someday the creatives will do soemthing to redeem themselves, but after today, the chances of that look so very slim! Where is the logic in all of this!!? what is the POINT of all of this?!😡 Theres not much more I can say because well, i totally agree with you :)

I hope Rasika gets what serves her right! The woman is a much bigger monster than savita will ever be! I hope somehow Manjusha being pregnant is connected to all of this, because in the grand scheme of things, that track really holds no significant place! So i hope that somehow, this works against them and rasika learns her lesson!
Vandita -- uff! we have had enough of this whole sati-savitri-samjhota-karo-ing kind of character!!! Why on EARTH is she settling for something so low? doesnt she deserve a chance at life?! I wanted to pull Rasika's hair out when she said, "meri andar ki aurat jaag uthi hian" --- jaag uthi meri JUTTI!!! TAUBA!!! no other line made me as mad as that one! that twisted, sorry excuse for a mother (haila, i didnt know i could be so mad about a character *giggle*) Does Rasika not realize what goes around comes around!? I cant wait for her to find out what her antics are going to cost her! 😡 welp, i dont have much else to say...but even though the creatives have set a new low, i still have hopes for this show!! I'm waiting for that one "something" that will happen and redeem the show :)
@ tanyaz - hehe, i think the divorce wont happen! @ ali - i agree!!!! that isnt the theme of the show (neither is a lot of the bakwas they have been showing us), par I agree with you

@AnnJan: It is outrageous, especially the parts that you pointed out. When we were looking at in class I was making quiet comments back to some of the points, and when the "Don't complain if he's late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night." came up my first thought was, well, why complain? Just lock him out of the house. 😆
@Kool and Tanya di(s): The guys in the class thought it was all a bit much, although I don't know if their thoughts were changed by the excellent glare the teacher gave them along with a warning that if they ever expected any of this she would personally hunt them down. 😆 I too now want to know what the guys on the forum think of this.
If you think of it, Archana has complied with a majority of those guidelines, except for the ones regarding children of course, and the shoes one, because Manav doesn't seem very fond of them.

I think even Sushant rajput who plays Manav is getting so fed up with the way Manav's character is shaping up . No wonder he is looking at other options , other reality shows etc . I don't blame him ...It would be bad because he had such a successful show and he is the only hero in this show ...
Creatives have really messed up his character .
But to be honest , Manav was not chauvanistic at all ...
I remember he used to wash dishes with his wife and help her like an equal . I mean a husband and wife have to be equals , that is what a good healthy relationship is about and I think Manav used to believe in that ..
These days , I don't know what he believes in any more ..

Tanya di:
Manav never asked for her to do any of it, she just did it anyways, it was probably part of her "shakkar philosophy". I was referring to the fact that Archana herself would try to do all of those things thinking that it would make Manav happy. He used to encourage her to talk and let him do things such as dishes and cooking. There was even one episode or flashback where he specifically told her that he would do all of the cooking during Navratri. I miss the sweet Manav from those days.
