I agree with you Ali.
what they are showing is Manav's dilemma, personally I feel it would have been very very unrealistic to show that he stood up for his wife the first day itself and goes against his family, not just coz he is a good son and brother, but coz any person's spontaneous decision is always to stand with his blood relations and family who brought him up all these years rather than a spouse of only a few days/weeks/months. Later on of course, he may change his decision and take the side of whoever is right.
Right now Manav is in the terrible state where he has to choose between family and love... as a spontaneous decision, he being the sole support of his family decides to stand by them at this difficult moment, knowing they need him a lot after Sachin's death. He makes this decision going against his heart, but what happens?
Each and every day, the guilt and his love is tugging at his heart strings... one day he shouts at his Aai for abusing Archu, one day he defends Archu, one day he takes care of her. All the various events (sindoor scene, enagagement etc) also played a role in making him hurt, guilty and feeling how incomplete he is in life without her. I agree, in the precap, he accepts that he cannot forget her, but will try his best to, since this is life. This is his first acceptance of the fact that he cannot forget Archu in front of her. When Archu came into that house, had we even imagined that one day Manav would be washing dishes with her and explaining her softly that she should move ahead in life? Its absolutely a fact that Manav is melting.
Now what I'm waiting to see is what will be that reason which will make Manav take a stand for Archna and say no to the wedding. I hope that the creatives handle this issue as delicately and as well as they handled Archana's confession in front of Satish. I also want to see Manav blasting his Aai and asking forgiveness from the Karanjkar family.
