sorry for disappearing guys. i just went downstairs to have a glass of water and got involved in the discussion of how the tax system in canada is not good and fair!

is tax system in Canada that bad

taxes r high here and income tax is really high and many ppl dont like that. i agree its high but i think the benefit the govt provides r also good. they provide free healthcare and education(till 12) and some more social benefits.

if u think selfishly and only about urself then yes its bad and not fair. but if u think about the society as a whole then its beneficial. maybe it might not benefit u(u might not use healthcare if u dont get sick) but ur tax might provide someone treatment who couldnt have afford it if healthcare was not free. that was my point!
