I'm happy that you all agree with me! This show is getting ridiculous.
@Thamizhan: The Tamil version seems much better (atleast right now). The Archana in that version seems to be quite a bit more sensible, atleast she can stand up to her mother. I wonder why they feel the need to deviate from the original story so much, they bought the rights and everything so why not use it to their advantage? They got our hopes up way too much initially. Just yesterday the garage scene was airing here and I thought back to how happy I was when I saw it about a month ago, but yesterday just looking at Archana's face frustrated me.
@scent_flower: I agree! I know that if Archana had married Satish she would have bent over backwards to make that marriage work and keep him happy. But Manav, oh no, what is the need to make him happy? He only went out of his way multiple times, took a loan from his boss, spent unnecessary money, and fought with his mother for her... that's it, what's the big deal, why should she ever bother to trust him? I don't know why we ever found her worthy of Manav.
I also agree about the sati-savitri thing, Sulochana finds her daughter to be maha-mahan and vice versa, but their actions often prove otherwise. Although personally I don't have a problem with divorced people getting married, it conflicts with Sulochana's and Archana's characterization. That woman shows so much distaste towards something as petty as young women who wear jeans and dresses, yet its okay to get her daughter married a second time and that too to a guy who didn't trust her and rejected her multiple times. Wah, what logic Sulochana!
@nikitagmc: I also don't understand why Satish would want to marry her. After taking a few night classes will she all of the sudden become "educated" and far more appealing to him? If the show even gets to that track then I hope he just says no to Sulochana's face, but seeing what the creatives have done thus far I wouldn't count on that. If he says yes to marrying Archana in the future then that will be a loophole big enough to fit Manav's whole chawl inside.
@devashree_h: Wow, that is so similar to what I was thinking! Also, now that I am onto your little secret of being a serial creative, you may just end up being accurate. Considering all the articles that is what the storyline seems to be atleast. I was also thinking about how upsetting it is that now we have to think about letting the three villains of the show become the saving grace. I truly don't get it though, because either way its their loss isn't it? If Archana marries Satish then she will be with a "rich" guy, which is thoroughly unacceptable. If Archana goes back to Manav, then they're back at square one. Although if they convince her to go back to Manav with her thinking that he is characterless then I guess they will "win".

I have to say though, Archana has proven us right, she has no logic at all! Wasn't it technically just yesterday when Manav told her, by swearing on the holy fire, he is innocent, that he loves her, that he would never do anything to hurt her, and that he would do anything to save this marriage? Does Archana seriously think that less than 24 hours later he wants to break this relationship and has ended this marriage? Dear goodness, with thought processes so shallow I don't know how Archana will fare in school, unless of course aai dearest comes running after her there as well.
