🤣
I read a similar article on another site yesterday (courtesy of Jenifer), and couldn't believe it! And yes Jen, I'm still trying to figure out if this is art imitating life or life imitating art???
I love Swatis portrayal of Manju, but seriously if the production house give into her demands then that'll ruin everything. Either she accepts it as it is, or they hire someone else. I'd rather lose a 'reel actress' than lose a 'real character'
What is this Swati's problem? Seriously, from where does she get the idea that Ankita's character is more glammed up?
Archu spent the first few epis dressed in very simple cotton dresses. She has so far 'glammed' herself up a total number of...........ONCE!!
For Ajit's weddng she wore a fairly simple block-coloured silk saree and the smallest necklace you could ever find. And that was as 'glammed up' as she got!
Frankly, if she does look more elegant and well-dressed than the rest, it is no small part to her natural beauty and the way she carries herself.
Even though no-one is wearing very heavy saris or jewellery etc, I as a viewer can see the differences between Manju and the rest of the family through their attire. And this is what makes the story realistic. The differences in their financial situations and social standing subtely demonstrated through their wardrobe.
Swati should come down of whatever self-percieved pedestal she has put herself on and lose her diva attitude.
If she carries on like this, I say the production house gets rid of her and brings in someone who understands the essence of the story, the, the realism it portrays and is willing to 'pare-down' to meet the requirements as such!!!
