OK Satish was a completely floored me today with his oh so humble take on Archu's shortcomings. But now that we know Rasika is about to work away at the rumour mill, I'm with JC about reserving judgement on Satish.
So far he has proved himself to be a complete gent. But I may have to recant my good opinion of him if he is swayed by rumours against Archu. Given that, he has already heard Rasika screaming like a banshee at the wedding and still considered Archu worthy of being proposed to, I would be greatly dissappointed if he then refused to marry her after any further rumours.
I know there has to be a reason for their marriage not to take place, paving the way for Manav, but I really would hate to see Satish backtrack on his earlier wisdom. I hope their parting is amicable if at all possible and that Satish turns out to be a genuinely nice guy.
Manju's face when she entered the house was a picture! 😆 All the way though that scene she looked like the sky had fallen on her head.
Mother and daughter scheming away already. All those who saw that coming say 'chudails'!
Poor Manav. My heart went out to him in that last scene. So many things are already against him, and now his father is caught stealing in Archu's neighbourhood....from her neighbours!!
I have a feeling that when Archu get's to his house eventually, she will play a part in the reformation of Manav's father.
Perhaps anyone who has seen the Tamil version can shed some light on the matter.

@Rakhie>.. Manav's dad is not a bad guy yaar. But he is an alcoholic. Donno what changes him or if he does ever. But if anything can and should change him it should be the realization of what he is putting Manav through. I really felt like hugging Manav today. Words would not be enough to describe the state of his heart at that point... maybe pieces in the number of stars. Its not enough that the one thing he ever dared to wish for himself is not granted him but to so cruelly make him feel that he doesn't even deserve to dream... my heart bleeds for him.

Camp Manav.... when was that formed Saima.... well yes I do agree poor Manav has his share of harsh times but that is no reason to gift wrap Archu up and hand it to him. So far Satish has had better exposure via his role and made quite an impact on Archu's family. Let us see how in time things unravel though I still am not in the favour of Manav marrying Archu on the basis of a lie. Marriage is a commitment an institution that should be based on trust understanding and love so far Manav has been attracted to Archu and so has Satish. Just because Manav turns out to have a rougher deal doesn't make him automatically eligible for Archu. Well this is the start to a very long serial and since Satish is not the lead there will be circumstances which may lead to a break up between him and Archu thanks to Rasika the evil witch.

@ JC - oh maybe I wasn't clear in my explanation 😆
I know Manav's dad isn't a bad guy. He is an alcoholic and no doubt things in his life have led him to this point. What I was trying to say is that once Archu enters his household, it is possible that she will help him to realise what he's behaviour is doing to his son and will encourage him to mend his ways.
As for Manav's heartache? Words fail me. I was practically in tears. And that never happens to me when watching any kind of desi telly! I find most dialogues and portrayals of emotions overly lame and ridiculous. This show has so far gripped me with its profound dialogues and the realistic manner in which they are expressed. Real everyday problems dealt with in a real everyday manner with real emotions.
Bravo to everyone concerned. 👏
@ Munee - Everything you say is applicable to real life, but seeing as this is a serial regardless of what we are being shown at the moment, Manav will be the one to end up with Archu. We just have to wait and see how it transpires.
Incidentally, we don't know yet if it is Manav himself who lies. It could be a misunderstanding which he himself is unaware of until the wedding day?

Rakhie well the show is so finely sketched that all errors seem to jump off the screen honestly. But thankfully there are very meager errors to begin with.

I actually felt sorry for Manav today with a an alcoholic father and a house to run... ahh the man's in deep s**t. I feel for him yet at the same time I just don't want Archu's dreams to be shattered. Argh that Rasika Tai needs to rot in hell with her dumb Manjusha. Doesn't Manjusha have an ounce of shame how could she do this to Archu.... isn't Archu her husband's sister. Where has the so called love she claims to have for Vinod evaporated to..... I do hope Satish's Aayi is the woman i think her to be and she doesn't fall for Rasika tai's bunch of lies.

Oh my heart is quite literally crying for Manav.
Sushant excelled himself today. Expressing his shame, his pain, his love without saying very much at all.
That scene of him, his aai and his father outside the chawl was such a confliction of emotions on my part. I was both laughing at the dialogues between the mother and father, whilst my heart was breaking for Manav and in some little part for his father too. It was a tragically pitiful moment.
I don't even want to begin to discuss Rasika and her twisted mind. Her behaviour is no surprise and we were expecting it anyway, so there's not much that needs to be said.
Let's see how Satish and his family deal with this.
But oh Manav, my poor poor Manav.

Manav's attempt to get his father leave alcojol and attain his past glory in theatre is really heart-wrenching. But sad to see how his mom is not at all encouraging.

Archu's responsible for her daughter....its funny how being a female she's not even remotely mad her idiotic bro for playing with one...she blames Archu....what abt Archu's annoying friend!! you know even if this wudn't have happened she wudn't have been happy for Archu...coz she thought she was a good for nothing person who didn't deserve genuine happiness!! she and her jealous mom have made me soooo madd!! ok rant over! lolz
