This is an insult to my mother and many mothers out there and I take personal offense to this.

@bold ... yo baat phinal hai, chhori.

As it is within the entire show itself. Yes, the story had initially started off being about mother-daughter, but it really gained traction when HS arrived. Even the values and principles he upholds, were the goals that Babes and Minnie were supposed to achieve.

Alas, they couldn't do it while he was alive, but hopefully his two daughters are able to achieve it.

I guess this is the theme of S2?

Well, Arya alluded to the curse being lifted in the end when the younger sister hugs her big one. They were obviously watching Frozen but the same could be applied to them. Right now it's going to be another adjustment period not just physically but also emotionally. They need to let go of their past baggage and move on by creating a new future. Hanita made the blunder of carrying their past and actively incorporating it into their present and future when really, they should have reconciled with it. I hope the two girls don't do the same.

Hadn't thought of that. Good point!

Either way, woh phansa hua hai.

Well, it's the only way we can justify him staying in this marriage.

Tbh, I always suspected that promise has played equal role as his no more tears policy in his behaviour towards Babitha.. His dialogue of doing what Mini wanted always just confirmed it.

This is what I think . Like everyone he had believed Mini will be happy if her mother is happy. It was much later he realized that it's not true always. I don't know if I am making sense here. I just know HS mother is not the only reason for his ji huzoori.

Of course the promise plays a big role, and he said as much to her when leaving the haveli after the jhumka scene.

I think he also missed the fact that at some point he himself became a major reason for her happiness. He did not realize that he was part of her inner circle now because he had always watched the mother-daughter bond from a distance.

I don't talk about this much because it is difficult but after watching yesterday's episode I can't control myself anymore.

As a woman I cheered for all three of them to get a second chance in life, to overcome their differences together, especially Babita. I understand they wanted this to be cautionary tale but the very writing that had me hooked from early days failed to be convinced in the past couple of months.

I don't think I've ever felt this let down by a show in recent times.

🤗 I know how you feel Jean.... We all believed it was a tale of hope...of second chances...... if not a love story it was a story of love ......... but makers wanted something different.

They could have shown all these changes in a positive way which would have let people hope amidst hardships of life ....

Makers have let down all divorcee women , widowed men , troubled children out there. I also feel they have insulted all house wives and loving husbands in some way.

He thinks he is unworthy of her love...

They both think this way about each other. If they aren't worthy then who is?
