Do I like Babita's character and the answer is a big No but still I can see many young and inexperienced moms are just like Babita. I haven't watched the beginning of this show as I used to watch one episode in a week or even less. But right from the beginning wasn't she shown as a weaker character. And now that weak character is transforming and becoming stronger. But that maturity and strength of character is still missing. Her tantrums, frequent outbursts and Insecurities make her a weak or shall we say a very shallow mom.

LOL nahin, there is WAY more to Babita than you can realize if you've only watched the show on and off😆

If we are criticizing the mess the writers have made of her character, there's a lot of valid basis for it.....it's not just this track that is showing her failure as a parent....there have been many other instances.

And there isn't any real "transformation" in her character.....the fundamental issues are the same, in fact much worse since the wedding track.....there is hardly any growth in her character....that is what we criticize the writers for.

All she does is remain in her self-absorbed bubble for the most part....the other characters still grow and evolve.....she doesn't.

It's not about an expectation of her being some perfect mature woman or a perfect mother....the writers seem to misunderstand criticism of her character as people not being able to accept a flawed woman.....wrong. The execution is messed up....her character remains stagnant in every track since a while now. She severely lacks comprehension ability and needs to be spoonfed everything. These are exaggerated traits even for a sheltered and "naive" woman.

After days i actually liked an episode and felt lil bit of connection back with HS and minnie's scene unke ghusse or narazgi main without a doubt bohat hi apnapan tha. Even though he was supposedly dantooing her his words were just the rata rataya sabak he was told to say acc to norms ke baap ho toh roab dikhao. Aise toh he has daanto her multiple times before with more genuine ghusssa and haq. Yes there was haq there but all his lehja and the stuff he was saying came across really on the surface level. He actually didn't seem to mean anything he has said like we have given you shelter etc and what i loked far more was his genuine ghussa at babita making him get fake mad at mini but then complaining ke itna ghussa kar dia. Line of the day ghussa kya naap ke karoon ke 100 g 250g he actually seems to be hurting too saying those mean things and that katari nazar exchange between him and mini was something else chori bhi poore haq se tevar dikhayi and parayi feel karways to him with her sir and permissions. It puerced him too when she suddenly went into ok sir zone. What i love is how they show hurt to each other like this and idc what babita says or does she can not exist for all i care infact i would prefer that caz she ruins them for me but i feel far more depth in HS and mini still. They have far more chemistry and taal mel in how to tackle each other. Ab Hanuman uncle kaise na pighle ga jab chori ek dum sir sir karegi he will feel that real hard.

What i didn't like was Khurrans made to witness that and then sympathizing with me aaj feel hua they are kaante in their equation bahar wale made to watch theit family stuff. I didn't like that. Also mini and friends ka seq was also very well shown esp the sunset moment where she is on the side alone feeling the loneliness that really ponvhed but rest of tthe seq she needed that small light time and she is blessed to have PK and Mickey as friends

As for the Khuranas.....LOL well that was all part of the drama to show how broken up the family is....Khuranas ko toh dikhaana hi tha cuz they were the ones who predicted ki aise tootegi family since Babita will be busy being wife and HS will be a "stepfather" *rolls eyes*.....I zoned them out.

I connected to HS today and Ashnoor was outstanding.....kaafi tha mere liye....lol

Yes, the sunset moment was well shot....honestly, Ashnoor stood out the most today.....the maturity with which she enacted Mini's emotions was really good....the way her expressions were transitioning between trying to lighten up her state of mind and then the grave expression in her eyes, then her numb hurt and sarcasm when talking to Babita....she nailed all of it.

It was the forced to conform angle that really stuck out to me in today's scenes....isse pehle there were just vague references to his fear/insecurity of being rejected by Mini as a father.....for the first time, we've been given a more coherent reason for what's messing his mind up more......the way Babita is forcing him to conform to the label of a father.....not letting him and Mini approach it organically.

@bold: That point really intrigued me today.....but I don't really have faith in the writers to properly explore any thread these days since they muddle up all the threads......lol

If only they could actually pursue that path....explore his psyche regarding his perception of what a father can be, and whether or not he wants to conform to that with Mini....he's already been way more than a father to her.....I prefer this anyday over lame contrived attempts to paint all his love for Mini as some attempt to gain access to Babita.

Wedding was rushed and a disaster.....na shaadi khushi mein ki, na uske baad khush hain sab.....and Babita can only be counted on to mess up things further, bas.

Re: the sautela label and the reference to Ashok....yeah, that's possible too....but it's inevitable given how they are setting up the drama ki HS will likely face more of these accusations of behaving like a "stepfather".....although to me, ironically, his reaction was anything but stepfatherly......it was more like an awkward attempt to be a father against his core nature.....when you do things against your nature, they never sit easy on you. When he was allowed to be himself, he was more naturally a father....MORE than a father to Mini.

I had thought these things would crop up more if Ashok came back to trigger them.....yeh log toh khud se hi trigger huye baithe hain.....lol abhi se yeh haal hai toh if Ashok ever comes back, tab kaise handle karenge yeh teen?

@ bold babita and her notions of a father. why does she even want to interfere in how HS handles mini he has handled her way better than she has always. She is only creating more issues and insecurities between them. She expects HS to confirm to her standard and style of parenting which is not right.

Babita more than a mother looked like a sibling of mini with the way she behaved. when she stood beside mini with HS scolding her she came across as a sibling who has complained to HS and HS instead of hearing the other side of story decided to scold only mini for it. He still doent know babita compared mini to mita. does she have the guts to tell him that now after all the drama that she created yesterday.

i felt the scene was only good to see the tashan between HS mini otherwise what HS said that Ashok threw them out and she should be grateful that her mother is keeping her in this house was very below the belt. i would bet if he dares to tell anything like this to babita. Ashok would have accepted mini if she decided to stay with him & even the khuranas wanted it. It was mini who wanted to be with her mother. HS has deepened the mother daughter rift further now. Mini will feel she was with her mother when she needed her now she is putting conditions to say in her house. Its not good to get past scars into it like this mini babita had no where to go when they walked out of ashok's house and when pinku dint want to keep them. HS dint need to remind mini of that time.

Remember the time when Minnie was planning to move out and told HS that 'Hum toh yahan sirf kirayedar hain'? HS looked so shocked and pained that Minnie would think of herself just as a kirayedaar in his house. Fast forward a few months, HS tells her in clear, unequivocal terms that this house belongs only to him and his wife. Minnie's claim to being a resident in the house is conditional and should be grounded in gratitude for the benevolence of HAnita in allowing her to stay there. First terming her a teesra, now putting her in place regarding her position in the family..HS seems to be in a hurry to speed up Minnie's inevitable exit from the house.

On a different note. Does Kammo still work at the catering service after all said and done? NB might be busy in household matters and legal issues. Babita seems to have become a woman of leisure. How is that business still surviving? HS also has started to put his job in second position in his list of priorities and thinks nothing of leaving his duty to attend to his wife at at home. If Babita loses her business and HS gets suspended for dereliction of duty, what will happen to the haveli? Will they lose their home like the Khuranas? It will be ironical if the biggest stick HS had to admonish Minnie is lost due to financial downfall.

I don't think HS deepened the rift. It was already there but no one took the time to acknowledge it or think about it.

Whatever his reasons for behaving this way I want to see it, know more. Can he please go talk to NB about it? And when will his no more tears policy be changed?

Granted he's a police officer and can get tough sometimes but he can't always be in that mode at home. You can say whatever to criminals but not to family members. I know he's losing patience but still he needs to take a step back and calm down so that he can see where things are offered balance. Words have the power to hurt others, but not using the right ones is even worse because it causes confusion. No one is a mind reader, so be explicit and clear about feelings and concerns. Otherwise, just take the time to listen and watch for signs of trouble, which he has always been good at. I don't know which way all this is going but if Minnie leaves home, he would lose everything. He needs to compartmentalize his dealings with each of them so that they don't spill over into each other.

The confession - Blame that on Mini, Poonam, NB. Babita wanted to go away from Haveli. She was literally pushed to corner by everyone to confess. And when she did, Hanuman rushed to propose to her.

Earlier episodes, Babita has been a wonderful Mom. Low on confidence. Timid, weak. With hiccups and mistakes of course. but she always came around. Fast and had acted as Mini’s solid support many times.

First 200 episodes, Mini and Babita was a solid team. One taking the lead and vice versa. Depending on the situation!

There is only one problem with this.. Hanuman convinced Babita that he was already a father to Mini before the wedding.. in fact, it was a vital part of letting Babita know that he likes her.. So Babita expecting him to fall into fatherly duties immediately following the wedding is not hardly surprising.. She had thought he was ready for the role when he had claimed to be Mini's father at various platforms

Jokes apart, any damage HS inflicted yesterday was more to his and Mini’s equation first. Babita has already done a solid job in pushing Mini away thanks to her own actions only.

Re: the Ashok comment. Nobody is defending that it was below the belt. HS messed up there no doubts and it will leave a scar. On top of the CD issue that’s already left a scar.

What I’m wondering is - Mini told Babita that she understood that Babita made the Meeta comment to hurt her....is she going to draw a parallel to HS making the Ashok comment to hurt her as well?

I think he said it in temper lashing out to defend Babita. The comment was made in such a way as to show that Babita took care of Mini when Ashok left them. lol yeh toh history palat di aapne, HS ji.
