True. She accepted his feelings for Babitha only after thinking the possibility of Babitha having feelings for him. For her this marriage is her mother's happiness not HS. She still is for most part Babitha's daughter.The day she will make Babitha promise to keep HS happy , she will also be his daughter completely.And he bewill her 'papaji' in true sense. It will take time.I had written about this a while ago. Minnie adores HS but her feelings about Ashok are yet to be resolved. She's not reconciled the idea of what a father should be like and though she knows she belongs with HS she has that mental gap to bridge with him, which is why she is still that little bit more Babita's daughter than his. It will come, and it will be beautiful when it happens.
