LOL I just finished writing a whole other thread about Hanuman's feelings for Babita where I spoke about some of this, but I'll add a bit here as well....

I feel HS was initially drawn to her sense of delicate grace and warmth....simple acts like her cooking a meal and sending it for him touched his heart....because he is a simple man at heart and these gestures move him....Babita herself is a nurturer....I think he's drawn to that part of her as well....she strives to nurture all those around her...with food, with warmth....these were the initial things....but as you said, bit by bit, he grew to love her in every form....the courageous, strong Babita that bloomed eventually made an even stronger place in his heart.

Ultimately, I'd say Babita gives him a sense of home....sukoon...the way he closes his eyes so many times when he's moved by something she does.....that is what he's fallen in love with.

I don't think Babita really has an idea about why loves her....that is why she grapples with self-doubt....she hasn't reached the point of being able to see herself through his eyes.....of being able to comfortably bask in the security of that kind of love.

@bold no she dosent. Hanuman has never spoken about it to her. Actually since the time babita had indirectly rejected him citing mini idonr think they have had a conversation where hanuman has opened up his feelings of his past or what he thinks to her. He has spoken to mini about seeing his mother in pain but not to babita. Nor has babita spoken about why she likes hanuman. But there is mini from babitas side who has told hanuman she trusts him with her mother. So i think hanuman dosent have that insecurity of why she likes me that babita has . He has just accepted her that she wants to be with him without the why? Or maybe he understands her enough to know what she likes in him. Maybe babita still needs to cross that level of her understanding for hanuman. right now she is very involved with herself & not thinking from the other persons perspective.

Exactly. A lot of Hanuman and Babita's equation has been built through indirect interaction....they talked to each other through other people, through their spoon clanging secret code language and other ways....somewhere they developed a sense of understanding each other without saying a lot of things directly. Conversely, this also led to them feeling more vulnerable when either of them would lash out at each other and expect to be understood still regardless.....all that back and forth has built a little wariness between them now.

That point when he was initially trying to talk to Babita about what she may feel for him....I honestly don't think he was fully ready at that point to take this equation somewhere....he was being prodded on by Laale etc.....but Babita's retreat gave him a reason to back off as well....and since then it has been that delicate balance....they are both wary now in some ways.....they've both taken turns pushing each other away for different reasons so they both don't feel that sense of security in fully expressing their emotions yet.

They do know that the other likes them....but they both really don't know why....it's so ironic because they are both really good-hearted people....but I think internally they both judge themselves harshly....for different reasons....Babita grapples with self-worth because her sense of womanhood was targeted so brutally by Ashok, by society....while Hanuman grapples with the darker passion inside him that he fears sharing with anyone, especially Babita whom he reveres as this delicate sa flower that is slowly blooming.....he feels Babita doesn't really know him.....ironically he has contributed to that to some extent by closing off from her but at the same time he craves that she understand him.....love him for who he is.....that is the paradox that needs to be charted.

I will add one more thought.

I think Babita doesn’t want to be put on a pedestal...which she has been all her life as a mahaan bahu. Her in-laws have revered her as an ideal DIL...and somewhere she is stifled by those expectations....that may be another reason why she kept telling Hanuman that she isn’t as good as he thinks she is.

I think Babita wants Hanuman especially to treat her like a woman...like a human being rather than a fragile doll sitting on a pedestal. Sitting on a pedestal keeps her distant, but she is actually craving that kind of raw affection deep inside.

The irony is that she wants it but still freezes up if Hanuman expresses anything directly. She has so much bottled up inside her that hasn’t found an outlet yet and comes out as tears. And her tears make Hanuman treat her even more delicately....but I think ultimately she doesn’t want that delicate treatment....she wants to be treated like a full blooded woman.

But a lot of healing needs to happen to get to that point. For both her and Hanuman.

Babita is someone who is extremely image conscious. Its not just log kya kahenge, it is something to do with I need validation and proof to believe I'm good. And this constant pressure and fear and want of not being labelled bad is killing her from within, not allowing her true freedom and happiness.

She lives the life of a theoretical ideal woman and she's not being just herself. Isiliye she said yesterday - she should return for what, to hear that what she's doing is a sin?

Going back wasn't worth being called an immoral woman.

She needs to free herself from this pressure of being 'good' all the time. She has accepted for now, that she ain't that good. But this is nothing to be guilty about. It is a part of her personality and that she should accept unapologetically.

I think this will lead to Babita feeling guilty of her own desires - something that PH had pointed out. And I can't wait to see how they deal with it, cause this is something very real and relatable.

Areyaar -- I can so feel ya. I am the same. I am so much in awe of writing, of all character arc, of all evolving relationships.. that I want to say so much and yet are failing to find words.

You have summed up last episode so well. Mini turned out fearless coz growing up she saw, her mother do not have courage. This gave her the courage, coz she knew she has to defend herself and her mom. I have seen this in real life too. Often, kids of meek and under-confident parents kids turn out to be courageous and fearless. They learn that they have to stand up for themselves. Makes them stronger, tougher. It's such a blessing in disguise.

I see a lot of myself in Mini. I grew up in joint family. My parents have great understanding. But Mom would not say to Dad about all the taunts and arguments that happened during the day. Neither would she ever stand up for herself. She is low on confidence but she is extremely strong on the inside. Appears weak, depends on us for every decisions but when time comes, she can sail through troubles and keep all of us together too. That is why I can understand Babita's character arc and feel for her. Since childhood, I learned that we have to fight for our right. In lot of episodes Mini keeps telling Babes that haaye babes, you are so cute. Instantly reminds me of my Mom, I say that to my Mom a lot. And, Babes is cute though. The way she was saying, Mini jab sabko sunati thi to mujhe man hi man mein aschha lagta tha. Lekin, kisi ke bare mein bura chahna toh paap hai na ji. haaye so sweet. So real. Hanuman had the same expressions ki kitni cute hai yeh bandi. smiley36

P.S. I just wanted to say that I'm IN LOVE with the bg score in the show.....especially that music piece they use to build up emotional high point moments like Hanuman declaring himself Mini's father in that pooja.....I really love that music piece and it just enhances every scene for me❤️

That score on the pooja day when he was coming down the stairs to propose is one the best I have heard. It's so perfect.

I also love the song selections.

Sahiba, Rangrez, Dheere Jalna, Hath chhute bhi toh from Pinjar, Katra Katra (so beautifully picturized).

I want the this song to be picturized on them -- Lagi aaj saavan ki fir woh jhadi hai. I listen to this song on gaana and instantly connect it to HS & Babes.

Word to everything. I see my Mom in Babes and myself in Mini, not about the taunting back part but the fearless part, not wanting to be perfect part, which I have recently developed owing to some harsh events in life. And I can't say how happy am I to be in this space!

The Babes and Mini bond is so similar to us, my Mom and me.

Babes was SOOOO CUTE yesterday, I thought HS will go ahead and pull her cheeks! Aww my cute Babes.

Lagai aaj saavan could be HS remembering Imarti and Babes supporting him emotionally <3

Cause there's so much sadness in that song.

It's a romantic song. About intimacy. Both haven't been intimate for years. Discovering the desire again. Perfectly suits them.

When Mini participated in Photography contest and her pics were of Babes. When she describes her pics were some of the best lines about Babita. Loved that scene. Ashnoor was brilliant brilliant.
