Maybe Babita feeling like a victim stemmed from there?

Something to do with her parents? 🤔

I have to say Hanuman's character is the best written character in the show, even better than Babita and Mini though the story is about them.

Yeah, same looking forward to when Babita and HS will truly understand each other completely. They will not need Mini at that point to mediate. Definitely there would be lots that they can only say to each other, and not involve Mini in it. I actually wanna see them reach that point. You are correct, Mini is too young to understand all of that.

Also, mini needs to focus on her own life after this wedding, and let HS and Babita deal with each other.

They've already taken that first step with Babes' complaints regarding Lovely. In a way, it doesn't matter whether her opinions are correct or not. Babes just needs to talk so that she can let everything out. Right now, like HS had said, Babes just needs someone who will listen to her without judging her. I can't describe what it does to a person finding someone who will do just that.

I think so. We've only heard about her dad and I think it was only once. Dunno if we ever heard about her mother before. But I wouldn't be surprised if the whole "women = weak victims" concept was ingrained into Babes by her mom. It would line up with the older way of thinking.

I am glad Lovely is back. Babita and Minnie need closure on many aspects of their life, and having it out with Lovely will help them get rid of some of the latent frustration and pain they have felt over the years. They are no longer restricted by the bonds of marriage and will finally be able to act upon it I feel.

In the process, I also think they will understand why Lovely behaves the way she does, how Sukhi and her childlessness and previous financial status hurt her self-esteem, so that she took it out on mother-daughter. I am hoping they will have a throwback to the scene where she was being mean to Meeta and when Beeji and she had a heart-to-heart regarding her feeling incomplete as a woman and putting up with society's taunts because she couldn't have children. Not to mention, living with her parents even after marriage must have given the neighbors and relatives plenty to taunt her about.

Lovely is representative of a lot of women who deal with insecurities and low self-esteem by putting others down as a defense mechanism. I am not saying they should forget what she did or pretend as if nothing happened, but understanding Lovely's perspective will definitely ease some of mother-daughter's hurt. I know I sound like I am expecting a lot from CVs in tackling this issue in this manner but they have spoiled me with the sensitivity they have shown with various characters so far.

Strange Jean but when I read these lines, the first name that came to my mind was Babita whereas you were speaking about Lovely! It's the exact same thing Babita is doing and such people only do it with those they perceive as weaker than them. Babita feels that way about HS for sure and the weakness is his niceness and his love for her.

I know I am rubbing a lot of people the wrong way when I criticize Babita's character but I also fail to see what they find so exceptional about her. Is it because they are Paridhi fans? Well I never knew any of the actors before not having seen anything they did before and my observations are solely limited to the character Babita and not the actress portraying it.

The above disclaimer is not for you Jean.

And by the way even in the acting department I find Anirudh, Ashnoor, the lady playing naeem Bi, and for that matter even the actors essaying the roles of Micky and senior citizen Khurana better than Paridhi! This is my honest opinion. I am finding her stilted and I feel that she has very few expressions that she keeps repeating plus many tmes her dialogue delivery is very rushed and high strung and harsh.

Sorry if I have offended anyone. This is just my POV considering that I am seeing these actors for the first time ever!

In fact I would go so far as to say that had this show been only about Babita and minni I would have quit ages back since I would have got bored.

Its the others (Ashnoor included) who add the spice and above all Anirudh and Ashnoor who make me crave for more and more.

I agree. 😆

I don't fault the mother & daughter though. HS has his flaws and more of them might surface post marriage. But as it stands, Babita and Minnie are on a journey of becoming the best versions of themselves. They're bound to make mistakes in the course of doing that.

But if we're talking about mannerisms, then I think the credit goes entirely to Anirudh. He doesn't just act with his words. He uses his whole body at his disposal.

It was an okay episode overall. Definitely not one of my favorites as somethings irked me a lot and they were all related to Minnie.

- Mickey was trying to lighten up the mood and for her to blast at him and cry, didn't sit well with me

- the clothes; I understand Minnie's reasoning. If you've only worn a suit once, you might as well wear it again for some of the smaller functions. But come on, it's your mother's wedding. At least buy one new suit. There was something about this scene that was off to me. It was as if they were trying to present her as the sacrificing one again. No one was going to say anything to her if she bought a new dress for herself.

- Minnie being Babes' mother again; the "beti hai na meri" line left a bad taste in my mouth. Just, NO. It was spoken in a jokey manner but this is something that we've been trying to break away from. Babita is the mother and Minnie is the daughter and that's how it should be.

- The convo between HS & Minnie was nice but I didn't appreciate Minnie once again giving the avenue to break the alliance. Just stop it with these rok the shaadi conversations. It's draining my excitement for the wedding and I'm slowly getting to the point where I just don't care if they get married or not.

HS is absolutely right about letting Babita just be. She'll slowly open up to what's eating away at her. But let her do it at her own pace and her own terms. Minnie needs to stop seeking out instant results. That's not how the world works and certainly not how people function either. Especially when it comes deep seated issues that have been left unresolved since childhood. Whatever's bothering Babita will take a long time to resolve and I'm glad HS will be there to help her through it.

After the marriage, Minnie should start focusing on herself and leave Babita to HS. At this point, I feel like he knows Babes' needs a lot more than Minnie.

The precap was weirdly shot with Minnie's voice over. I prefer the clips instead.

exactly mini is again getting angry and staring crying at small things. i wonder if the way babita blamed her for staying with ashok for her sake hurt her and she reacted at the wrong person

i agree mini should stop projecting her as babitas mother and see her as a mother & as a human. she should stop hiding her outbursts & suddenly being rude behind babes to bachhi hai. Hanuman was right she should just let her be instead of mothering her everytime
