Happiness comes from within

Great message by the CVs via Minnie's dialogues about how happiness comes from within. Marrying someone doesn't bring happiness if one is not content with oneself.

Mother and daughter have been struggling financially but the results of their hard work give them the confidence and pride to hold their heads high and maintain their self-respect. You don't need someone else to do this for you. It must come from within.

I'm glad Preet's paying attention to Kittu's true nature and has opened her eyes. Der aayi par durust to aayi. No matter how annoyed we were with her, she was remorseful and she deserved to be saved from a miserable marriage. I am glad she will be the one to take a stand for her own dignity without needed others to defend her against selfish people like Kittu.

There are many husbands who do not physically abuse their wives but the emotional and psychological abuse their engage in by destroying their wives' self-confidence is another nightmare altogether. Preet would have always been demeaned and made to feel inferior and this would have destroyed her self-confidence and sense of purpose in life, as her only focus would then be to please her in-laws, who would never be satisfied no matter what she did. Good riddance!
