Apart from the snow and cold, I did like Chicago area very much, specially the downtown.

Chicago is the 3rd biggest downtown in US after New York and Los Angeles. Used to love walking in downtown and by Lake Michigan.

I have been to San Francisco before, it's nice specially the Bay Area. My only problem is hubby's whole family there

Yes its costly... i had enquired there for my mom's knee surgery and they said it will cost 4-5L
